Q:The power cord will not be inside the wall, it will be through a sheet of drywall then in a closet that is under my stairs, at no time will the power cord be inside of a wall. It will just be behind the wall and in a closet where I will plug it into a surge protector. good to go??
I think some clarification is needed here. A contractor could NOT do this for you, because it is against NEC code (although some do anyway). You as a home owner, working on your own home, are not bound by these laws (in most areas - I here Chicago is tough). So the question becomes: Is this safe. With what you described, I see no danger in doing what you want to do. The issue of insurance is a point. If you use some cheap surge protector that happens to burst into flames and starts a fire. And an inspector for the insurance company comes out and sees the power cord, they could try to deny your claim based on that. Even though 'that' was not responsible for the fire. Your call.
Q:I bought a 1999 Volkswagon jetta and there is no sound coming from the speakers. There are speaker cables, power cables, and input cables in the trunk. The powers cables ( there is 2 of them) are both connected to the negative terminal of the battery. There is also 2 input cables. Do I need an amp in order for my speakers to work? If I do how do I connect it? I connected my ipod to each speaker individually and they all work.
what your probably missing is actual RCA cables from the head unit or you speakers were supposed to be connected to a amp and when the original owner took the amps he didn't connect the amp back to the stereo. so if you want theres more than one thing you can do. have a shop connect the speakers back to the head unit. get an 4! channel amp and have it hooked up also by a shop or you can try your self but i recommend a shop doing it if your not confident. but theres really no mechanical problem so you don't have to drop any money on replacing any speakers certainly if they sound good up to your quality when you heard them.
Q:What are the cycles and requirements of the experimental project of the power cable experiment?
Two should be phase line, generally in the three-phase loop corresponding to the color: A phase is yellow, B phase green, C phase red, neutral (that is, zero line) for the blue. If only in the single-phase loop only red and green when the default is red for the phase line, green for the zero line. But not necessarily, some electricians do not follow the requirements, the specific you have to use the pen to know what the
Q:Currently I have a 250GB drive and Writable CD/DVD. I wand to add a 3.51TB internal drive
You will have to get a SATA data cable. The power cable going to your current HD has a connector for a second drive. _
Q:Calculation method of wire and cable outer diameter
(In accordance with the power cable, single-core cable sheath of the nominal thickness should not be less than 1.4mm, multi-core cable nominal thickness should be not less than 1.8mm), the thickness of the jacket, 2. On-line measuring sheath thickness: Sheath thickness = (circumference after extrusion of the jacket - circumference of the jacket) / 2π or sheath thickness = (circumference after extrusion of the jacket - before the jacket Circumference) × 0 .. Insulation thickness of the most thin point: Nominal value × 90% -0.14. Single core sheath the most thin point: Nominal value × 85% -0.15. Multi-core sheath thinnest point: Nominal value × 80% -0.26. Wire armor: Number of roots = {π × (inner sheath outer diameter + wire diameter)} ÷ (wire diameter × λ)
Q:Help in English:do these expressions have exactly the same meaning?
A cable is usually thicker than a cord. When I hear power cable, I tend to think of industrial machinery.
Q:What is the difference between rubber insulation and paper insulated power cables?
When the cable is laid on the multi-layer bracket, the cables are arranged from top to bottom, the first layer is the high voltage cable, followed by the low voltage power cable. The control cable is placed on the lower part of the power cable. At the bottom of the instrument cable, when the low voltage power cable With the instrument cable in the same layer of laying, should be added partition isolation. Computer communication coaxial cable, full length are required to shield the use of closed trunking.
Q:Hi, i cant find anywhere to pass the power cable into the bonnet in my clio 2002 1.2l. Anyone know what to do?
Yes. You will have to drill your own hole, and add a grommet.. I reccomend a step bit. Do not forget to add a grommet to protect the wire from rubbing against the firewall.. As I was taught, Look Twice, Drill Once.. Good Luck!!
Q:What is a PVC Power Cable and what is its application?
Electrical PVC wiring in general refers to insulated conductors used to carry electricity, and associated devices. PVC Power cables may be installed as permanent wiring within buildings, buried in the ground, run overhead, or exposed. PVC Power Cables are used for high-voltage (more than 35,000 volts). Thanks,
Q:can we install power 480 VAC and control 120 VAC cables,,, each one in different conduit but in parallel and adjacent ?also for two control cables ,,,, can they installed in one conduit ?
It is a standard practice...to run power and control cables in different conduit but the basic criteria is voltage gradings. All cables upto 500volts can be laid in one conduit whether power or conrol. In case of high voltage cables, because of elecromagnetic inducion effect, different conduit is adopted.
