1.The standards

The power cable is mainly complying with IEC 60502 standard,  also can be produced according to OEM requirements and other standards, such as BS, DIN, ASTM, VDE, NFC standards, and so on.

2.the construction of the power cable for different voltage grade

2.1 low  voltage  cable power cable

Low voltage (0.6/1 kv)

single core or multi-core

copper or aluminium conductor

pvc inusulation

steel tape armored or galvanized steel wire armored or unarmored

pvc outer sheath

power cable.

2.2 medium voltage cabel power cable

Voltage grade is up to 35kv,

cross-section area can be up to 1000 sqmm  (copper or aluminiun conductor).

Conductor long-time  operating temperature is 90 degrees.

In short circuit, conductor  highest temperature should be not more than 250 degrees.

1kv-35 kv

2.3 high voltage cable power cable

High voltage (35kv~220kv)

copper or aluminium conductor

xlpe insulation

metal sheath (lead or corrugated aluminium)

hdpe or pvc outer sheath power cable.

Laying conditions: for lyaing  under ground with large different  altitude, be able to bear external machanical force and moderate pulling force.

3. the power cable's characteristic:

3.1 long time operating temperature for cable conductor is 90 degrees.

3.2 the highest temperature of the conductor in short circuit (no longer than 5 seconds) in not more than 250 degrees,

if a joint is in the cable, the temperature of the tinning welding joint is not more than 120 degrees, compressing joint not more than 150 degrees and electro-welding joint not more than 250 degrees.

3.3 no drop in limited provided there is full mechanical tention when cable is laid. It si forbidden to lay cable in iron-pipe or to fix cable by circling around the cable with iron materials.

3.4 being laid, the minimum temperature of the cable shall not be lower than zero degree. In the case of lower temperature, heating measures shall be taken.

Q:Is this the correct SATA cable?
Yes that is the correct cable that plugs into the motherboard SATA ports. Regarding the power cable. Some SATA drives have both the old style 4-pin power connector (like on the IDE drives) as well as the newer SATA power cable. If it has both, DO NOT plug both in at the same time or it can damage your PC. You can use one or the other but not both.
Q:What cables do I need for this graphics card?
You don't need any power cables. The board gets power from the mother board. You need a PCI-Express slot on your mother board. If you're asking about video cables to the monitor, it says in the listing... Interfaces 2 x DVI-I - 29 pin combined DVI , 1 x HDMI - 19 pin HDMI Type A , 2 x DisplayPort - Apple mini-DisplayPort You only need one of these unless you are running more than 1 monitor. I would look on your monitor and see what connections you have. (2) DVI-1 is common is older stuff, (1) HDMI is the newest technology and common for HDTV, (2) Apple ports for Apple enabled monitors.
Q:How Do I Run The Power Cable From An Amp Wiring Kit From The Battery In To The Car Without Drilling?
Check along the firewall for someplace you can squeeze it in, ususlly by the foot pedals or the grommet around the steering wheel. Some cars you can actually run the wire along the wheel well then through the door jam and into the car there. You may have to drill a hole in the fire wall depending on the guage of wire you are using, as I am not too familiar with subarus, however if you do, any car audio shop should have a grommet to fit over the wire and will waterproof and fireproof that hole you drill
Q:Can i play my xbox 360 without the power brick plug?
Seeing as the power cable gives the system the power it needs to run, no, you can't play without it. However, you are able to play with both the power cable AND the HDMI cord. There's enogh space for both to fit into the console, and the power cord plugs into a wall outlet while the HDMI cord plugs into your TV's HDMI slot. There shouldn't be any problem with room.
Q:our power went out and our cable came back on but we lost our surround sound through the receiver. Any ideas?
That used to happen to me too, quite frequently. What happens is when the power goes out, the receiver looses its settings and goes to a default mode. You have to go into the setup menu and reset all the values so it recognizes that all the speakers are present. I say this USED to happen because the power used to to go off if someone down the block so much as sneezed hard. We rarely went more than a week without a failure. Then Hurricane Sandy blew through and tore things up, including the power lines. It took more than 10 days to fix it but they apparently fixed all the weak spots - we haven't had much more than a blip since. Of course, during that 10 day period I went out and bought an array of batteries and a power inverter as well as a generator - which are now pretty much useless.
Q:Why dont overhead power cables have rubber/plastic cover so that if they fall they cant cause serious injury?
Let's see... First of all ONLY high voltage power cables do not have protective polymer insulation. Low voltage cables, like the ones that bring outlet tension to homes do have an insulation, usually made of PVC, rubber, silicone and such. The large, 10000Volts, up to and over 200000 volts and so on do not for several reasons: 1. It would be impractical to make. For usual materials, like PVC the thickness of the insulation would be extreme (I think as thick as several centimeters) as to protect from such high voltages. Such insulations would make the cables break under their own weight. 2. The cables heat up really good under the enormous currents and voltages so the insulation plastic would be close to melting point all the time. 3. PVC is quite senzitive to weather curing. It becomes brittle and cracks if left under weather condition for several years so the insulation would still serve to no good. Furthermore, regulations regarding aerial wiring state that they should avoid crossing populated areas, roads, etc. unless absolutely necessary. Also, wires fallen on ground should definitely not be messed with. Furthermore, if high voltage cables were insulated, this would only serve ready made combustion materials for fires in case of short circuits and damages. I guess this takes care of your question...
Q:My PC crushes and it won't start w/o power cable unplug!?
Do a virus scan..
Q:Where can I find a 4 Pin Fan Power Splitter Cable in hamilton Ontario?
Before hooking that up, check the specs on your motherboard to see if that fan header will support loads from both fans. You may need to get a Molex to 4-pin converter and power directly off your power supply.
Q:Why does the sparrow stand on the wire without electric shock?
AC power is a two-phase exchange of the power system, itself is positive and negative exchange, the electromagnetic effect can almost count the daily life of the free radiation are more than this number, and can rest assured that the general life supplies, the larger electromagnetic radiation from the DC Of electrical supplies, which only need to pay more attention
Q:Is there a thumb rule for selecting Power Cable for Diesel Generating Sets?
Power cable size will depend on the output current rating of the genset. The conductor size shall be rated for carrying the maximum genset current contnuously and shall be rated for the voltage of the genset.
