Q:how to tell if my water pump is shot?
Well, the most common failure on a water pump is that the seals go and then it begins to leak, and drips or pours down the side of the engine. As to the bottom of the radiator being cool, bear in mind that a large number of cars and trucks have a transmission cooler or oil cooler located at the bottom section of the radiator, and that would of course remain cooler than the cooling system as the oil or transmission fluid do not conduct heat as well, not do they tend to get quite so hot. I would guess you have not gotten the thermostat in backward, as if it were never to open, it would not allow the hot coolant from the engine into the radiator against the flow of the water pump. As to the head gasket, yes, steam from the exhaust is a fairly strong indicator that coolant is getting into the combustion chamber and being steamed off. Of course, that could also be a cracked block or cylinder head or a warped head that caused the gasket to fail, but the head gasket would be the first thing to examine.
Q:1.5KW water pump caliber is 40, what is the flow rate?
General 40 caliber flow is 6.3 cubic meters, two pole motor lift about 32 meters. The so-called flow, refers to the unit of time through the closed pipeline or open channel effective cross-section of the fluid volume, also known as instantaneous flow. When the volume of fluid is expressed in volume, it is called volume flow. When the mass of fluid is expressed in mass, it is called mass flow.
Q:how to change water pump on a 4 cylinder 96 plymouth voyager?
Ummm I kind of agree and disagree with C-tech. the 96 Voyager came in one of 3 four cylinder engines, 2.2.L 2.5L or , 2.5L turbo, I think the 2.6L was discontinued in the late 80's or around 91. And the water pump is driven externally, Just look under the alternator and you will see it. So remove the alt, remove the bracket then unbolt the whole pump/pump housing assy, then unbolt the housing from the pump. Clean the surface where the o-ring seals the housing to the block, Run a bead of silicone on the cleaned housing to pump surface, bolt together (dont glob on the glue) Install the housing to the block with a new o-ring, and finish the assy. And to even make sure you have a 2.2 or 2.5 right where the thermostat goes, the head has a housing cast on the head there is a galley plug. Slightly tighten then remove the plug, pour in the coolant ( in the radiator)water mix (50-50) install plug then run engine, what for fan to kick in, then wait for fan to shut off, set your level in the reservoir and BAMM your done. And where I do agree with C is when MBZ owned Chrysler and had the 2.4 installed, somewhere in the 00, but I dont know, I quite Chrysler in 99 And if its a 2.6 get a mechanic to do it
Q:What needs to be replaced with a water pump?
In Your Vehicle The Water Pump Is Run by the Timing Belt. If It Has been Leaking It Will have Contaminated the Timing Belt, Which Has to be Removed Anyway To Replace the Water Pump. So Replace Water Pump, Timing Belt and Tensioner And Coolant. It is Also Recommended To Replace the Thermostat At This Time.
Q:When using a frequency converter to adjust the pump, what is the relationship between the change of the speed and the efficiency of the pump?
When you buy the pump, you can ask the manufacturer to give you an FM curve so that you can see the change in the efficiency of the pump as the frequency is adjustedSend you a document in the hope that I can help you
Q:How do the water pump work please till me water pump mechanism?
the international is produced from persons, and we've a lifetime to stay. this is our getting at the same time, our sharing and our helping that are the main important factors of life. So, clearly this must be finished between people, and prefer the brook, people come and persons bypass, yet we bypass on living. this is that this interplay it particularly is the objective of life, and finally as quickly as we are nearing our end there are in straight forward terms some left, some who count on us.
Q:are high volume water pumps better on a engine or will it cause damage?
IT is normal for the engne to WANDER AROUND the 180 degree temp! if the engine does NOT BOIL OVER, then things are FINE! COOLANT boils as you know at about 212 degrees, and it may take the COOLING FAN longer to TURN ON! BASICALLY< if the engine does NOT BOIL OVER< then everything is JUST OKAY! USUALLY chrylsers run on the COOL side GOOD LUCK!!
Q:Water Pumps: What "Head" and "Lift"?
I have two ponds, one that is always full and one that is always low. They are 550 ft apart and there is a change in upward elevation of about 35ft. What pump is needed to allow me to transfer water from the lower pond to the upper pond?
Q:WATER PUMP REPLACEMENT?
It depends on the make of the car. Some Hondas and Meesoshitties require replacement of the timing belt whenever it is removed due to stress factors and crap. So it is always a good idea to go ahead and do since on a lot of front wheel drive cars you will have everything off in front of the timing belt anyways. So might as well do it right? Better that than end up on the freeway with a snapped timing belt. Not fun.
Q:2000 Ford Focus - water pump?
She should have not drove it. Sounds like it overheated and seized the engine. Probably cracked the heads or block. This could have coated her a car.
