I doubt very much that there is a mouse under your rug. However, if there is, just lift the corner of the rug and it will run out and probably out of the premises if you have the door open. It is probably more afraid of you than you are of it. Mice are timid creatures and won't hurt you. I live on a farm in a farmhouse and have experienced many mice and grow fonder of them everyday....although I don't want to share tenancy with them.

all you can do is keep applying nail polish remover. you need the acetone in the polish remover to soften and dissolve the nail polish. dribble on nail polish remover let it set for a little bit and blot it with paper towel. repeat until nail polish is removed. it's going to take a long time.

A carpet steamer would be your best bet for disinfecting. The clorox is going to put white spots all over the carpet.

Not a very nice thing to say about your mother. Bleach does not stain. (Now who looks soooooo smart) It has no color, it is a color remover. Nothing you can do to fix it on carpet but remove the carpet or replace it.

Q:I need to patch a section of my carpet. The size I need to patch is 2 feet by 1 1/2 feet. I will be patching just a few inches from the wall/front door. Here's my questions:1. Will the patch job be noticeable at all or will it blend in to the other carpet? 2. Will the replaced carpet piece be loose or need stretched? 3. What if the carpet I am patching doesn't exactly match because my current carpet is used and the patch will be brand new? I've never done this before so any advice for a first timer would be awesome! 1. Yes, if your patch is new then it will be noticeable. 2. The replaced piece shouldn't be to loose if you cut it right. You can use some double sided tape to help hold it if you think you need it. 3. You can try shampooing your old carpet before doing the patch to help it blend better. If you want to try something different. Take a few pieces of varying colors to your existing carpet and make it look like a custom patchwork carpet throughout the entry way. Ex: If your current carpet is dark blue you could use several shades of blue or burgundy to spruce it up a bit. When you get tired of that look - just change the squares.
