Q:i have an interview tomorrow but have a scafold piercing in , its been in there for about 2/3 months nearly healed competely , how ling can i leave it out for , maybe 30-45 minutes? thanks

They take around 6-9 months to heal completely...you shouldn't be taking it out at all. I stupidly took mine out after 3 months to clean a bit behind the bar and the bar would never go back through the top hole. It hurt like crap and bled profusely if I tried to push it through.

Earlier in history people were strung up from trees , and sometimes stood in the back of a cart which was driven away leaving them dangling. The platform on which the guillotine was stood was also called a scaffold at times. These executions were turned into social events and hundreds of people used to go to look.

Q:I know it's soon, but my piercings swollen and quite sore when knocked slightly.I've only had it three or four days, but there's a swollen round lump right next to one pierced hole and I was worried it could be an early sign of a keloid. The soreness and swelling is normal. Try to really be careful about not knocking it. You're only going to get a keloid if you are prone to them, if you've never had a keloid you likely won't get it. It's hypertrophic scarring that is pretty common with industrial piercings which is why taking care of the piercing is really well. If you're using regular salt then that is a problem - it needs to be non-iodized sea salt. Soak the piercing twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak with a mixture of 1/4th of a teaspoon of the sea salt to 8oz of hot water. Make sure you're not moving the bar around at all. Take ibuprofen and ice it for the swelling.

Q:My mom wouldn't let me get snakebites or cyberbites but she will let me get my scaffold pierced. I know people have different things for pain etc etc I know it will hurt but I want it pierced. So, to someone who has gotten it pierced or knows about it is there anything special you have to do to take care of it or is it just like the ear lobe piercing.

it probably does hurt cuz of your cartilage just put rubbing alchahol on it and it should be okay =)

Q:I've had my scaffolding piercing for about a week now and when cleaning i've just dabbed the hydrogen peroxide and salt water around my ear. However i read that i should be rotating it when cleaning it. Should i rotate it after only a week?

you dont need to rotate a scaffolding piercing because its in such a place that it will rotate on its own throughout the day/night
