Q:What are the main points i should remember when i design a home garden on my own?
to match light requirements with plant material. Oh and plant growth...plant perennials/ bushes and trees with space enough for 10 years growth. Filling in with annuals will help your garden have a fuller look til your perennials fill in.
Q:Other questions and answers website for gardening realated issues?
Try (DIY) and type in gardening. I don't know if it will work, but it's an idea.
Q:What is the best way to eliminate pet odor from a rental home?
my house when i moved in stink and it took me 4 week to get rid of dag mess and the smell i used bleach, dettol all sorts and the only thing that worked was a bottle of pure ammonia it stinks but i went out for a few hours and when i came back i cleaned up and it has totally gone now,i uggest you try ammonia, beware tho it stinks lol
Q:How do you make a garden on the Sims 3 pc?
Get some seeds (or go to the store and buy the fruit or veggie) and start planting in your backyard. Is that what you're talking about? A home garden? Find an area on your property and start planting. I usually have big gardens. It would be cool if they'd make it so we can have greenhouses. You can go into your build tools if you want to make it look more like a garden. If you need to, take a gardening class which will give you some starter seeds and start planting and keep building your gardening skill so you can plant higher level stuff. I usually have one sim who's a master at fishing, cooking, and gardening and that way I don't have to buy food from the store. :D
Q:Has anyone ever had magazines delivered to your home without ever subscribing to them?
Someone may have filled out those cards, I wouldn't be surprised if a bill doesn't follow.
Q:what is the better homes and gardens spaghetti recipe?
Ingredients 8 ounces ground beef or bulk pork sausage 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms or one 6-ounce jar sliced mushrooms, drained 1/2 cup chopped onion (1 medium) 1 clove garlic, minced 1 14-ounce can chicken broth or beef broth 1-3/4 cups water 1 6-ounce can tomato paste 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 6 ounces dried spaghetti, broken 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Directions 1. In a large saucepan cook the ground beef, fresh mushrooms (if using), onion, and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain. 2. Stir in the canned mushrooms (if using), broth, water, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and pepper. Bring to boiling. Add the broken spaghetti, a little at a time, stirring constantly. Return to boiling; reduce heat. Boil gently, uncovered, for 17 to 20 minutes or until spaghetti is tender and sauce is desired consistency, stirring frequently. Serve with Parmesan cheese. Makes 4 servings.
Q:are there any company's that will come to your home and build and start a vegetable, fruit,or herb gardens.?
Good grief ,are you going to hire someone to water and weed it as well? you screw together some lumber and fill it with a good mix of soil and compost, nothing to it. You can even buy kits that are pre-cut and drilled
Q:can you use peat pots to plant in an outdoor garden?
I agree, transferring young plants from the plastic tray pots to a peat pot is a waste of money and actually delays its growth. I have tried container gardening, but the results are disappointing with low yield. Your money is put to better use in buying inexpensive soil amendments to mix into the top soil. If you plant tomatoes and have clay soil, then I dig a hole about 15 in diameter and a foot and a half deep, put some granular plant food at the bottom and cover it with 2-3 inches of good soil. Then I bury the plant and start back-filling the hole with 50% native clay and 50% redwood soil conditioner/amendments (cheap, I bought a 3 cu.ft. bag for $6.99 at a local Home Depot Garden Center.) Initially the plants did not even come to the top of the hole, but I kept adding soil mix as they grew. 3 years ago I had a bumper crop of Beefstake tomatoes. One plant yielded 75 pounds of fruit, including the green ones I harvested at New Year's Eve (no frost to that date) and put in a box covered with newspaper to ripen them. Even those late harvest fruit tasted not much worse than the ones I've bought at Safeway for $2.50 a pound.

Q:Does anyone have a Better Homes and Garden older cookbook that has a barbeque sauce recipe in it?
Yes, I do. If it's the recipe that's in the chicken section, it's great. It's like the one above but this one has additional ingredients like br sugar lemon juice. After browning the chicken in salad oil, remove the chicken and add to the oil: 2 medium onions in 1/4 inch slices 1/2 cup chopped celery. Cook till tender. Add 1 cup catsup, 1 cup water, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 2 to 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce and 2 Tbsp each brown sugar, vinegar prepared mustard. Season. Simmer 10 minutes; skim off excess fat.
