Q:Questions about using a Perennial Border around my Home..?
I would make the border irregular, concentrate on the front of the house. Go to your local nursery and ask about the plants you want. With all those children, you will be looking for low maintenance plants, so stress that. At this point, unless you have someone to do the gardening for you or at least help, it might be best to have a sunflower or other fast growing and easy bed so the kids can help and learn gardening.
Q:Party Plan: Home decor party plan that sells country/rustic home decor?
If okorder.com Good Luck!
Q:What home based business do you like?
I okorder.com if you like what you see email me!
Q:How can I make an appropriate porch garden?
If you want to grow veggies and fruits on your porch, tomatoes, peppers, and strawberries all will work in a container. Also, pretty much any herbs should do well.
Q:who watched 17th may(yesterday) better homes and gardens? (FOR AUSTRALIA ONLY)?
Hi Georgina-- Things just haven't been updated yet. Keep your eyes on this sight…
Q:Home garden, new home - what to do?
I live in Zone 4 and understand the problem of a Spring start (you are probably in Zone 3). My first year at the new home, I started plants indoors to be transplanted when it won't be another freeze; this was for vegetables and flowers (unless plan to buy pre-started). Get a soil kit to understand current soil conditions. May need to add top soil or fertilized soil into upper 3 of garden area. Spring time, I drafted my entire yard on graph paper using each square as 1'. I signed up for Gurney's catalog (can do this through web site) so I can pick out perennials that would suit me according to zone, color, time/length of blooms, height, sun/partial/shade, soil, etc.. Each winter I order more to add to redo in any part of yard including a fountain. With the one time exact measurement on my graph paper, I was able to determine how many trees in the back yard and measurement for fencing, etc.. (The graph paper is also used for each floor of the home to determine sq ft for paint, flooring, curtains, rearranging furniture.)
Q:what is the best way of room divid in two part for few days???????/?
It really depends on why you want it divided. I'm going to assume it's for some sort of repair. I would use 6MIL plastic sheeting. It's strong enough to hang for a great distance and much tougher to penetrate, by accident, than thinner MIL sheeting. You can find it in various lengths and widths at Home Depot or Lowes. Be sure to get enough so that it covers the distances from floor to ceiling and wall to wall. If you need to have an entry/exit in it for access, be sure to overlap by approximately three feet, at least two feet. Hope this helps.
Q:free download for hgtv home and garden design suit ?
its summer time... too hot for a suit....
Q:How do you get rid of negative energy in your home/apartment?
You have to follow some vastu guide lines.
Q:Garden: What are some of the ways I can earn a little money from my backyard?
Bundle the branches up and tie them with string, put out with the trash if you confirm your trash removal company accepts yard waste. Once they are gone, a good raking to remove leaves and dead grass using a lawn rake, bag them up and get rid of them. Tidy up the bricks and any loose items you want to keep and stack behind the shed if possible. Once all the yard is clean, look at any high or low spots, get a few bags of topsoil from Home Depot ( $1.29 a bag) , some grass seed, and a small bag of starter fertilizer. The cost should be under $50 for everything. Use the soil in low spots, and then sprinkle the grass seed and starter wherever there is a bald spot and in the new topsoil. Water lightly but often, the idea is to wash the oily covering off the seed, but not wash the seed away. Keep it moist for a week and you will have new grass growing. Follow the directions on the seed package for proper lawn care once up.
