Q:What are grade classifications of the external walls fireproofing material?
1. The thermal insulation material of level A combustion performance: Rock wool, glass wool, foam glass, foamed ceramics, foam cement, hole-closed perlite, etc. 2. combustion performance is level B1 insulation materials: Extruded polystyrene board (XPS) after special treatment / Special treatment of polyurethane (PU), phenolic aldehyde and gelatine powder polyphenyl granule 3 combustion performance is level B2 insulation material: Molded polystyrene board (EPS), extruded polystyrene board (XPS), polyurethane (PU), polyethylene (PE), etc.
Q:who knows the requirements of refractory for forge furnace?
Requirements are as follows: 1, it should have enough refractoriness and softening point under a fixed load. Because under the effect of electric arc, inner surface temperature in different parts of furnace lining can reach 1500 ~ 1800 ℃. 2, it should have strong slag resistance. Because slag and smoke at high temperature penetrate through furnace lining to its internal lining, causing the melting of refractory, organization stratification, and even peeling off. 3, it should have good thermal shock resistance. Because in the process of steelmaking, openning the oven door and lifting the furnace lid will make temperature of refractories in the furnace lining change rapidly, it might happen peeling off and cracking, causing the premature failure of furnace lining. 4, it should have sufficient strength, because the furnace lining will be shocked when being loaded, vibrated when being tilted, scoured by metals,molten slag and air flow when boiling. 5, smaller thermal conductivity, lower electrical conductivity. Commonly used refractories for electric furnace include magnesia bricks, dolomite brick, high alumina refractory brick, siliceous refractory brick and magnesite ramming material,etc. owing to the different work environment of each part of the furnace,refractory used by each part is also different.
Q:What is the difference between the fire rating and the fire resistant level of the fire-fighting equipment?
Fire rating and fire-fighting rating are the misnomer to the building fire resistant level. The building fire risk is measured by fire resistant level. The article 3.2.1 and 5.1.7 of "Architectural design code for fire protection" have made provision respectively on the fire resistant level of plant (the storeroom) and civil construction. Article 3.0.2 of "Code for fire protection design of tall buildings" has made provisions on the fire resistant level of tall buildings. Fire resistance rating of the building is divided into four levels. Standard of fire resistance rating is determined by the combustion performance and fire resistance of the main housing member. Level one or two are in accordance with the Article 1.0.2 in this specification.
Q:What's the refractory material?
Main components of basic refractory are magnesium oxide and calcium oxide, and magnesia brick is commonly used. For the magnesia brick with magnesium oxide content of more than 80%-85%, it has good resistance to basic slag and scum, and it has higher refractoriness than that of the clay brick and silica brick. It is mainly applied to the open hearth furnace, oxygen-blown converter, electric furnace, non-ferrous metal smelting equipment and some high-temperature devices.

It can be refined into castable refractory and refractory bricks, according to temperature rating. There are shaped refractory material and shapeless refractory material, and ceramic fiber. So it must be specific. There is a large range of refractory, which basically contains the aluminium oxide.
Q:Introduction to refractory material
The best way to learn is on-site contact. If for produing purpose, it is better to ask teh leader of a plant. If for application, go to steel mill (cement plant, glassworks, etc.) to learn and look up information. Theory alone is of no help.
Q:How long is the fire resistant limit for ultra thin fire retardant coating?
There is no detailed stipulation for ultra-thin fire retardant coating, and the thickness of the inside is the fire resistance limit shall reach certain time(at least). In engineering, the thickness of the fire retardant coating is generally determined according to the manufacturer's testing report. We use thin fire retardant coating for steel structure: if the fireproof limit is 2.5 hours. the thickness should be 4.9mm. If fire-resistant limit is 2 hours, the thickness shall be 3.5mm. If the refractory limit is 1.5 hours, the thickness shall be 1.75mm. If the limit is 1.0, the thickness is 1.17mm hope my answer can help you

Q:who knows the fire endurance of fireproof coating?
this is not specfied , depending on design requirements. The products we made have fire endurance from 1to 4hours . We have not done any higher.how is the fireproof coating in improving fire resistance of building components? finishing fireproof coating; wood fireproof coating; fire-resistant coating for steel structure, fire-resistant coating for concrete structures, tunnel fire retardant paint, fire retardant paint for the cable. Fire retardant coating is composed of the base materials (that is film forming substance), pigments, ordinary coating additives, fire retardant agent and dispersion medium. In addition to fire retardant agent, other components functions the same as in ordinary coating, but its performance and thickness are specifically required.
Q:Why do magnesium oxide refractory bricks can be made into refractories?
Because the magnesium oxide, commonly known as magnesia, which is a basic oxide, with the common property of alkali oxides and belongs to the cementitious material . It is white or light yellow powder, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic and a typical of alkaline earth metal oxide, whose chemical formula is MgO. It is white powder, with melting point of 2852 ℃, boiling point of 3600 ℃ and relative density of 3.58 (25 ℃). The magnesium oxide that is soluble in acid and ammonium hydroxide solution has high insulation properity. After high temperature of above 1000 ℃ burning, it will transform into crystals, and when rising above 1500 ℃ , it will turn into dead-burned magnesium oxide (also known as the magnesia) or sintered magnesia. So the performance of magnesium oxide refractory bricks is good, and the fire resistance of it is very strong.
