Q:Can polystyrene foam color steel plate be used as decorative fireproofing material ?
Polystyrene foam plastic can not be used as fireproofing material; polystyrene foam plastic is made up of polystyrene resin as main component, foaming?agent and other additives. It is a buffer material which is most widely used[1]. It is closed hole structure, so it has low water-absorbing quality and excellent water resistance; low density, about 0.015 ~0.03; good mechanical strength, excellent buffer?performance; good machinability, easy to be moulded; good dyeing property, thermal adaptability and anti-radiation; high dimensional accuracy, uniform structure. Therefore, it has a large share in external wall thermal insulation. But it will emit polluted styrene gas when burning. It is a kind of class B material in construction.
Q:What do we mean by saying that a ladle cover knots, elbow knots, blowpipe knots in refractory materials? What is the “knot”?

according to China's national standard GB8624-97, the combustion performance of construction materials can be divided into several grades grade A: Incombustible building material: Almost no burning material. Class B1: nonflammable building material: nonflammable material has a good flame resistance effect. when it meet the open fire in the air or burnd at high temperature, it is difficult to spread quickly, and when the fire source is removed, the combustion stop immediately. Class B2: flammable building material: flammable material has a good flame resistance effect. when it meets open fire in the air or at high temperature, it will immediately burst into flames and easily cause fire spread, such as wooden column, timber roof truss, timber beam, and wooden stairs,ect.. Class B3: inflammable building material: No flame resisting effects, highly flammable, high fire risk. 2, external wall thermal insulation materials, in accordance with fire rating, can be divided into1) grade A combustion performance thermal insulation material: Rock wool, glass wool, foam glass, foamed ceramics, foam cement, hole-closed perlite ect.. 2) class B1 combustion performance insulation materials: Extruded polystyrene board (XPS) after special treatment / Special treatment of polyurethane (PU), phenolic aldehyde, gelatine powder polyphenyl granule, etc. 3) combustion performance of class B2 insulation material: molding polystyrene board(EPS), extruded polystyrene board (XPS), polyurethane (PU), polyethylene (PE), etc.

As long as one condition occurs, fire endurance is reached and the time before it is called fire endurance. 1), loss of ability to support: If the specimen bearing capacity and rigidity reduce, section area shrink, collapses or deformation exceeds specified numerical value because it cannot bear the load of original design under flame or high temperature, it loses the ability to support. 2), loss of integrity: It mainly refers to the thin wall separating component(such as stairs, windows,partitions, ceiling, etc.) burst or partially collapse under flame or high temperature, and penetrating?fracture or opening appears, and the reverse side even burn. For example, when the floor is under flame or at high temperature, the flame spread to the upper room, which indicates that the integrity has been damaged. 3), loss of fire insulation function: It mainly refers to that seperating components loses thermal insulation and excessive heat conduction. In experiment, if the average temperature of component unexposed surface exceeds 140 ℃, or if any spot at the unexposed surface exceed the initial temperature of 180 ℃, the component loses fire insulation function.
