- Q:the sound comes on, but it doesn't suck anything up and the thingy underneath (dont know the technical term) doesn't turn. it's an old vacuum( a kerby). what's wrong with it. should i try to get this one fixed or just buy a new one. are there places that fix vacuum cleaners? thanks for any info.
- It sounds like you broke a belt.
- Q:I've been working on a couple projects in one room in my house. The room really needs to be vacuumed but there is aquarium gravel scattered around as well as a bunch of tiny screws. I have a shark vacuum. There's no threat of puncturing a bag because this vacuum doesn't use a bag - it uses a canister. I could easily empty the canister and then go over the floor with the hose. I'm wondering if it's an ok idea though because I don't want to damage anything in the vacuum. Occasionally, my battery powered aquarium vacuum will suck up a couple pieces of gravel, they'll get stuck, stop the vacuum, and I have to get them out for the vacuum to work again. I don't know how house vacuums work, but I don't want that to happen. If there aren't any mechanical components to be damaged, then I guess the only other worry would be the hose, but the hose on this vacuum feels pretty sturdy, and I would just be vacuuming tiny gravel and tiny, corroded screws - nothing sharp like tacks or nails. What do you guys think?
- really?...really?
- Q:My roommate is allergic to cats, and when I got my kitty I told her that if her allergies got too bad, I'd send him to live with my dad, but I do NOT want to do that and am trying to find a good vacuum for someone with allergies. I'm looking for something with a HEPA filter. Can be bagless or have bags. I'd really prefer an upright to a canister. Looking in the price range of $60-$200, but willing to hear suggestions for more expensive models. MUST HELP REDUCE ALLERGENS!!
- Most bagless vacuum cleaners have HEPA filters. You should be able to just go to your local target/wallmart/sears and pick one out. Another thing you can do to help is buy an air purifier for your roommate's bedroom. Most styles are basically a fan that pulls air through a HEPA filter. It would do a lot of good because allergy symptoms are usually worst in the morning right after someone wakes up since the person has been laying down sleeping which makes them prone to congestion.
- Q:how to make a vacuum cleaners?
- Get a job with a manufacturer of vacuum cleaners.
- Q:I have a test tomorrow and a question just like this is going to be on the test. Can someone please solve/explain it to me?A salesperson sells two models of vacuum cleaners. One sells for $200 each, and the other sells for $300 each. The salesperson has a weekly goal of at least $1800.a) write an inequality relating the revenue from the vacuum cleaners to the sales goal.b) graph the inequality.c) if the salesperson sold exactly two $300 models last week, how many $200 models did she have to sell to make her sales goal?
- For increasing cubic binomials the final formula is as follows: (a + b) ^ 3 = a^3 + 3*a^2*b^a million + 3*a^a million*b^2 + b^3 on your case, a is x and b is -y^5 So (x - y^5)^3 = x^3 + 3*x^2*(-y^5)^a million + 3*x^a million*(-y^5)^2 + (-y^5)^3 Simplified: =x^3 - 3x^2*y^5 + 3x*y^10 - y^15 :D
- Q:guys, i lost the fuse of ma vacuum cleaner,so 2 replace a new one, i need to know the fuse rating...so please tell me how much amperes is the fuse of hitachi CV-2900
- 3amps on most vacuum cleaners
- Q:I currently have a Bissell bagless. It just seems where I live (rural area) I am vacuuming 3-4 times a week and although I take the vacuum apart and clean regularly, it just doesn't seem to pick-up like I think it should. Anyone have an opinion on the Dyson vacuum cleaners? I am considering purchasing one and would like to know what you like or dislike about it. Thank you
- I just brought home a new DC15 Animal. My first impression while unpacking was that the plastic felt very cheap and flimsy. This was for the main upright vacuum as well as the attachments. After turning it on and cleaning a very small section of the floor I was quite surprised by what was picked up. The carpet needed vacuuming, so I wasn't at all surprised by the dirt. Much of what accumulated in the canister was carpet fiber, even after a second or third cleaning. So much in fact, that I have to question whether it is causing damage to the carpet, not just removing loose fibers. This was on a pile type carpet, there was very little fiber after vacuuming a berber carpet. Releasing the support wheels to activate the brush is somewhat awkward. Hopefully I'll get more used to it and this won't be an issue. I'm optimistic that it will work well, but time will tell...
- Q:What brands of vacuum cleaners are the best and not too expensive?
- My favorite is my trusty Shop Vac! I bought the smaller one. We have only one, low-traffic room with rug, so I don't miss the beater bar. It sucks up anything, and you don't have to buy bags unless you are vacuuming fine dust. The whole thing, canister, filters, and hose can be washed. I use it for our vehicles and the whole house. And when there's a water spill somewhere, just empty the canister and suck up the water. Costs around $60.
- Q:for the cordless onesTHanks!:)
- Old vac's like the BD Dustbuster (which I have) use Nickel Cadmium cells. Not sure about new models but NiCd's are cheaper than newer alternative NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride).
- Q:I hate vacuum cleaners because they're so loud and I'm sensitive to loud noises.
- Hi Tessa, I haven't come across one yet. Some are quieter than others though. Have the sales person plug it in before you buy a new one. Check several before you make your decision. I make the salesperson dismantle the brush roller, put on a new belt ,if it has one, you name it. I'm very sensitive to fighting a vacuum just to change a belt, or to clean the brushes! I guess I'm just plain old mean. Bye
