Q:China is banning the use of plastic bags -?
That has more to do with their garbage and street waste. A lot of nations that are developing (and lots of China is still developing) have major waste disposal issues.
Q:What exactly is biodegradable corn plastic?
It is plastic made out of corn it is better for the environment, its kind of like treeless paper some paper is made with corn but it comes from the actual plant not the part we eat. they also use the sugar cane plant to make paper.
Q:how does plastic affict our environment?
Actually, other than potential imediate threats like a bag leading to asphykiation, or can rings snaring birds, or something leaching out. Plastic really does the same thing in soils that rocks do- take up space, contribute or impede percolation, etc. Not that plastic is good, but if you were to shred up say a plastic bumper cover off a car to pea size particles- you could incorporate them into the soil to do much the same thing as rock does only with less density.
Q:Is there dye for plastic? If so, what brand, and where can I find it?
plastic usually has a clear film over it, you would need to sand it with a fine sandpaper to get dye to take. they make a spray paint for plastic that can be found at any arts and crafts store...it holds really well, i did a couple outdoor chairs and table, it has held up for 2 seasons...
Q:Is microwaving potatoes in plastic dangerous?
plastic where heated, releases carcinogens which are none agents to cause cancer. its not recommended to heat plastic in any situation.
Q:Your view on plastic surgery?
Plastic Surgery to me is one of the best things that ever existed. I had a mastectomy had a breast reconstructed.by a plastic surgeon. Its amazing what they can do. I am for plastic surgery -------- Its a good thing.
Q:properties of plastics for my invention?
I don't think you can find it in books. Some things you just have to know the material properties because of experience, and if you don't you have to do some trial and error and use some common plastics and see how they equate. It is interesting to know, one plastic is actually made from wood, celluloid, so perhaps it's properties are similar to wood.
Q:What are the main components of plastics?
Most plastics are made of some type of polymer, which is just a really, really, really big molecule. These can be crazy-long chains of carbons and other groups, and depending on what those groups are, your plastic can be strong and tough, or soft and flexible - or even heat-resistant. It is the structure of the polymer in the plastic that determines how the plastic behaves. Does that help?
Q:how to become a plastic surgeon?
becoming a plastic surgeon is a great idea. However, when you are in High School, only thing you can do to help yourself become a plastic surgeon is focus on your sciences. i.e Biology, physics, chemistry. You would definately have to goto university to become a plastic surgeon. you would have to do an undergrad degree in science which could take as little as 3 years, then you got to apply yourself into plastic surgeon feild which I believe is another 2-4 years. All together, after highschool, you got yourself another 7 years ahead of you (which is really not that long, times flies.) You will end up a plastic surgeon if you work really hard by the time you are 25.
Q:removing printed ink from plastic?
It depends on the ink. Also be careful that whatever you use does not dissolve the plastic also. I would probably try the following in order: 1) water 2) isopropyl alcohol 3) denatured alcohol 4) acetone
