- Oxyclean. If it's the powder then wet the spot and saturate the area with the powder. Let it sit for a while. Maybe even overnight. You will have to have a carpet cleaner or shop vac to suck up the old oxyclean. Then you will probably have to reapply several times. I do this with my laundry that gets mildew and mold on it and it works like a charm. If you use the liquid oxyclean that comes in the spray bottle then just spray it on and suck it up with the carpet cleaner or shop vac. This is the method I use on my carpet with pet stains and I love it. hint: liquid tide in the carpet cleaner works wonders too.

You do say you clean the litterBOX well. You certainly should try getting one to two more boxes since you have two cats. Take up the rugs and try a new box or two and see what happens.

- Here's my experience. As a landlord I've gone thru every type of carpeting and finally got so mad I ordered that short nap nylon/plastic stuff. I had it glued down. I figured no one could do anything to that carpeting. Well, the daughter dropped and left an iron and melted the carpet. I hired professionals to come take a piece out of the back of the closet to switch places. Does it show? Absolutely because of the lack of nap and they didn't take care to cut all the shreds from the outside edges. In other words-even if they had done a good job it would have shown. I have better business carpeting and they butt the ends up to each other and it's fairly hard to tell. So if you have nap, you'll be able to pull it off. It will wear soon enough. I would glue the edges and glue the piece so that it doesn't move. Be sure to match any design and direction and be careful to leave all the nap you can around the edges so you can brush it together. Since you're piece is so much bigger, it should be harder to tell. Lots of luck. And, oh yea, if you can take the piece from the closet, do that. It will have faded more than the new and put the new in the closet.
- Q:every time i leave the housemy cat pees the rug even when we are sleeping. we have tried every thing with the viniger and that stufff that cleens the rug and takes away the odor. the rug is by the window cill and there are some stray cats running around outside. every time she does is we flick her nose and put her in our bathroom. plz help i`m tired of scrubbbing my carpet.
- Flicking your cat and putting her in the bathroom wont help. Cats arn't able to connect being put in the bathroom with punishment for peeing. Instead schedule her/him for a vet appointment. If your cat can't control its bladder, there might be some other health problem causing that. Or, if your cat isnt fixed or neutered...that could be causing some frustrations instigated by the outside cats resulting in spraying. In the mean time, invest in a carpet shampooing vaccume. Instead of just steaming, they steam and shampoo and they even sell special pet oder/stain removing detergent to use in them. Then, get some baby gates from a friend (people love getting rid of them) and close off a few spaces for kitty until you figure out the problem. Good luck!
- Q:A bottle of gorilla glue spilt on the carpet (the kind that dries white) I can't get it off without tearing the carpet up...and I live in an apartment. Do I have to rip the carpet out or is there a way of getting it off. If I have to rip the carpet out how do I replace that patch?
- Unfortunately Gorilla Glue is a polymer and bonds with nylon carpet fibers. You'll have to cut out a patch of the carpet and replace it. Good luck finding a piece to match unless you take a piece from a closet. If you do that cut the damaged piece out first and lay ti over the replacement piece and CAREFULLY cut an identical patch. Tape in and glue the patch with carpet tape and adhesive. Make sure the pile and pattern match. Good luck.
