6.Conditions of use
Pumps used in the following conditions should be continuously to work properly:
1. For water pumps suitable medium, medium temperature shall not exceed + 40°C
2. The medium PH value between 6.5 ~ 8.5
3. The volume of medium containing solid impurity is less than 0.1%, the size is not more than 0.2 mm
4. The power frequency 50 hz, voltage for single-phase 220 v, 380 v, three-phase voltage fluctuation range for rating of 0.9 to 1.1 times
5. Diving depth of no more than 5 m, is not suitable for irrigation and drainage of sewage and chemicals.

- There is the possibility that the water pump cause a wake spot in the system to develop a small leak. The level at the reservoir might not drop but the coolant level in the radiator will drop. Just go back to them and tell them exactly what you said here, and ask to check your coolant level. Outside temperature won't effect it because the car runs at almost 200F

If you had checked your upper radiator hose for HEAT with the engine running 20 minutes you didn't need a thermostat or a water-pump. Lets do things in the order of cost and effectiveness: #1. Ask a trusted private mechanic to do an inexpensive *cooling system pressure test to see if you have any external or internal coolant leaks. #2. Replace the electrical temperature sensor in the water-jacket. #3. Cooling systems need to be drained flushed and *cleaned every five years. When was yours done last? #4. You're five years overdue for a new radiator even with the best of cooling system care. When was the last time that your cooling system has been drained. flushed and cleaned with a one part powered acid cleaner? By now, your five years overdue for a new radiator

- Q:they say a water pump going bad is supposed to weep out of that hole....Yet I see that a new water pump kit has two gaskettes.some o rings....is it likely that it can leak from these sources and still not come out the weep hole?They talk about berring that could go bad or seals gone bad...does this occure in the area that gets inserted into the engine( the turbine portion of the pump)if you had to guess..where is the most likely area for a water pump to fail...if seems like I have wetness off to the left( back toward the firewall) and less off to the right( front of the car)..more off the left..it is very subtile off the right.I don't see anything coming out of the weep hole..BUT the weephole is directly on top( dead center)and back towards the engine in this model. I have the car jacked up on the passengers side/next to the wheel wellso the fluid is most likely to flow backwards toward the drivers side.

Put a light pressure on the cooling system. As the engine runs the water pressure should build up to operation tempter. Without over hearting. If the pressure build us to fast. The temp stat is stuck closed. If their is little pressure build up there is a leak in the system. The other way is to start a cold engine and watch the water in the radiator. It should start moving thought the system when the t-stat up up. If the pump was not leaking at the gasket. The seal can go bad. The is a weep hole on the bottom as well on most water pump. It could a heater line or the a hose or steel tub that cool the throbbed or a intake gasket. It could be a head gasket as well. Since you didn't give the make and model. It is hard to pin point the leak to one area.

- This is a simple repair but I'd recommend that you get a service manual, ether a factory manual or one of the generic Seloc manuals. The key things to do are mark the trim tab so you can put it back in the same position after repairs. Drain the oil. Removing the bolt that is in the hole at the back end of the upper housing, as well as all the obvious Nuts. both above and under the cavitation plate. Put the drive in forward gear, which takes the tension off the shift shaft. Once all the nuts and bolt are loose. Jiggle the drive and it will separate from the upper housing. You now have access to the water pump housing. Remove the housing and pull it up and off the d. Shaft. Inspect fully and account for missing impeller blades. When you re assemble Lube the impeller and put the drive key in place and put the impeller in place. Slide the housing down to the impeller. You can use ether th drive shaft or the propeller to turn the drive shaft in a clockwise direction as you apply pressure on the housing, It should slide down over the impeller. Reassemble in reverse order. Slide the drive shaft up into the upper housing turning the D. shaft using the prop to turn the shaft. Watch the water tube slip into the guide tube. Once it's in place put a couple nuts on then check the gear shift to make sure it goes F-N-R. Bolt up and fill with oil. Good Luck!
