Boards of Techwoodn according to ASTM D2394-05. This is the best ranking for bare-foot slip resistance.
Weathering resistance:

- how tall are these adults? generally speaking floor hockey sticks have an inexpensive wood shaft and plastic blade. even the better ones by Mylec or Koho will be about $15 new and in hockey you want a stick to reach your chin and so even in you're gonna be playing in shoes they are only good for people up to 5'10 or so. oh and as far as where to get them? Sports Authority or Craig's List .. with the size of sticks OKorder might initially be a better deal but when you factor in shipping it will cost you more that way.

- Q:I am planning on installing a new floor in the kitchen of a very old house. The current floor is not level. On one end, its about an inch higher than the other end. Is it possible to level the entire floor with the self leveling concrete mix or some other form of self leveling liquid?
- Instead of using concrete because you would be adding more weight to your floor and your floor might not be able to handle the weight. You could put in a false floor. Depending on the pitch. You would be ripping 2x4 (or which ever size that you would use) on the angle that your floor pitches. These would be like the floor joist below. Then lay some new plywood on top. This way you wouldn't have as much weight added to your floor. If you still want to use a more denser product you could add support to your floor from the basement or crawl space below. Good luck
- Q:what can I use to dissassemble my laminate floor?
- I use a combination of floor scraper and a shovel made for tearing off roof shingles. The tear-off shovel has a metal bracket on the back which acts as a fulcrum, for prying up with the tip, that a floor scraper lacks. If this flooring is actually glued to the sub-floor, it will take a lot of elbow grease too, hehehe. Good Luck
- Q:i live in a first floor new build flat which has concrete floors with wood joists upon it for the floor itself, i wish to install a new aquarium which will weigh roughly 500kg(0.5ton) i already have a 260kg aquarium which i intend to replace with the new 500kg one.It will be placed in the existing space as the old one. I need professional advice after trying engineer forums with no reply. So my question is ? will my floor be safe to hold this weight ?
- In my opinion you would be ok if you set the tank evenly spaced over the floor joists. The floor joists rest on top of the cement. Cement can handle quite a load of weight but this depends on the thickness as well. Good luck in locating the floor joists.
- Q:It a good neighborhood. I really don't want to have to go up two flights of stairs everyday. I would be leaving with my bf so he could really do the grocery since he prefers the third floor.:)...i don't know how secure i would feel on the 1st floor........idk need advice.......
- 3rd would be my choice. Even though the stairs would be a pain, decreased noise (water running down the walls for 3 floors plumbing isn't quiet!) , plus 3 floors of people rumbling the stairs would make the first floor less than desirable.
