Brief Introduction

PVC/XLPE power cable is used to transmit and distribute power in power transmission and distribution system of 35kV or lower. It is generally applied to the fields including power, construction, mines, metallurgy, petrochemical industry and communication in complete replace of oil immersed paper insulated power cable and in partial replace of PVC insulated power cable.



The products can be produced according to our factory specification which is equivalent to the standard IEC60502.The factory can also design and manufacture special power cable according to the other standards required by the customers.


Properties of  PVC Power Cable


1.The long-time permissible working temperature of cable conductive core is not more than 70 degrees.


2.During short circuit (max permanent time is not more than 5 seconds), the max temperature of cable conductor is not more than 165°C.
3.The difference level of laying cable is not restricted.When laying the cable,ambient temperature is not lower than 0°C.
4.They have good chemical stability,and properties of acid resistance,alkali resistance,salt resistance,oil resistance,solvent resistance and flame resistance.


Features of XLPE Power Cable

1.The highest allowed operating temperature of conductor for long-term working is 90 degrees.

2.In short circuit (Max long term is no more than 5 seconds). The highest temperature for conductor is no more than 250 degrees.

3.The cable is laid without horizontal drop limit. The environment temperature should be no lower than 0 when lay. Otherwise it should be preheated.

4.Excellent electrical performance, resistance to chemical corrosion.

5.Can stand advisable traction when laid.Can stand traction from Outside.Left low smoke halogen-free after burned.Retard the burning of the cable.

Q:Can we install control cable and power cable in one conduit?
It is not the best way to do it. There may be some capacitive or inductive coupling between the 480 and 120 circuits that may adversely affect the controls. An accidental short between the 480 and 120 circuits would probably be a disaster for your controls.
Q:I have a power cable for my computer that got slightly chewed and i was wondering does that effect the power?
It will work if the wires are undamaged. But they will have been kinked when the cable got chewed. The cable is now dangerous, if the wires are pinched you may get a hot spot, melt the insulation and fire/shock hazard. Turn it off and replace the cable.
Q:Can I use an XLR cable as a power cable with 9V battery?
Yes, you can use your XLR cables and plugs and connectors for a low power 9VDC application. Before you start doing all this, just make sure how many ohms your electromagnet coil has. If it is below 20 ohms, then you can not use a small 9V battery - you need a larger, more powerful battery, such as a stack of 6 AA cells that would easily deliver 1 A or more.

You could use trunking for the cables, and for the control boxes if they are in the house you could hide them under a box which you could decorate to look like a parcel...personally I would paint it, but drill some holes for ventilation.

It shouldn't require a power cord, but that almost looks like a reference design card. Oh... that's an AGP card. I don't think they required additional power sources in that series of Nvidia chipsets.
