Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q:Rug smells worse after steam clean?
Yes. Buy some enzymatic pet urine eradicator at pet store and saturate the smelly area. Let it dry completely, put fans on it to help. Wipe down all surfaces lower than 2 feet in kitchen, walls, baseboards in other rooms. Consider steamcleaning again, and put fans to dry the carpeting thoroughly. Put LL on notice in writing, what you have stated in posting, and what you want him to do for you. . . . .move to another unit when open, reimburse you for steam cleaning and enzymatic treatment, whatever.
Q:Black light carpet spots?
Protein stains, such as urine, blood, semen, will glow with a whitish tint. I've checked a thousand carpets with a black light,in total darkness, mainly to assess the extent of urine contamination so a decision can be made to either treat the stains or tear the carpet and pad out. I have never come across black stains as you describe them. In any case, even after extensive hot water extraction cleaning, the glow will remain. In your case, whatever caused the spots you see is probably long gone from the carpet, just the residual effect remains, which is permanent.
Q:How can I clean my carpet...?
You're going to have to rent a carpet-cleaner machine from your local grocery if you want to get your carpet really clean - it's really no big deal, and dries pretty quickly. If you're worried about the chemicals in the shampoos and cleaners that you are supposed to buy for the machine, you can always just use hot water and white vinegar instead of the bottled carpet-shampoo. Vinegar kills as much bacteria as antibacterial soap does - the only draw-back is that everything will smell like vinegar for a while. Whatever you do, don't use any of those powders that you shake over the carpet and then vacuum up - not good for crawling babies, as the powder residue can get on their toys or hands, which then put in their mouths. If you're just looking to kill surface germs, you can put vinegar and water in a spray-bottle and spritz the carpet with that, though renting a machine will get it really clean.
Q:How to remove rugs from the carpet?
Do you mean rugs - pick them up and more them. Or bugs.... Insecticide.....
Q:Help! Bathroom rugs yellowed my floor! The rugs have latex back which left yellow stains on my white floor.?
Yep, the backing on the rugs gives off gasses as they oxidize. They are most likely gasses from plastic (hydrocarbon) or PVC (chlorides). It is possible that the discoloration to your floor is permanent. You can try putting some lemon juice on a small area and leave it there to dry. If you see a return to the original color, treat the rest. The other thing is a household ammonia test. Same thing (but open the windows and keep your head away from the product). Since you will now be testing acids and alkalies to see if you can reverse the problem, the only other thing to test is a solvent like white spirits. Do this one last. The rugs will continue to degrade but less than when new. You are right that there should be a warning on these rugs to not place them on certain surfaces but you know manufacturers, put it out to sell and then deny any liability.
Q:Do i need to use a carpet stretcher to install carpet. How to install carpet?
If u want your carpet to be in correct position and without rippling then at the time of install carpet u should use carpet strecher .If u dont use carpet stretcher then it will look fine just right now but after a year puckers will start appearing every where.Carpet stretching is, generally, done in two different situations: During the initial installation and for a carpet repair. The initial stretch, during installation, ensures that the carpet is tight, secure, and even across the entire floor covering.
Q:What should be done if the carpet has water in and smell sour?
Clean, and then put it under the sun
Q:Stain in carpet?
hard one that try milk let it soak fot a bit though.
Q:Three rugs have a combined area of 200 sq meters....?
First, the 140 sq meters of floor can be cateogrized into three categories: 1 - area covered by exactly one rug 2 - area covered by exactly two rugs 3 - area covered by exactly three rugs. If the combined area of the three rugs is 200 sq meters, and you are only covering 140 sq meters of floor, then 200 - 140 = 60 sq meters must be overlapped (meaning it is covered by either 2 or three rugs). Now since you say that 24 sq meters is covered by exactly two rugs, that means that the area covered by three rugs is 60 - 24 sq meters = 36 sq meters covered by three rugs. Hope this helps.
Q:How to price carpet?
Write down the dimensions of the rooms and take them to a carpet store for an estimate of how many square yards of carpet it will take to replace it. Sometimes the length of the roll of carpet has to be accounted for, and it therefore isn't as straightforward as it might seem. In other words, you could have two rooms with identical square footages, but they way they're shaped could mean that one would require you to buy more carpeting than the other.
