Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q:What is this stain on my rug?
If the stain is rust, bleaches like OxiClean won't work. Rust is oxidation, and bleaches oxidize further. You need a mild acid. If the rug is machine washable, try pouring white vinegar onto the mark. Let that sit for about 10 minutes. Then launder. If this doesn't work, try using Iron Out. You can find Iron Out at most hardware stores. Home Depot also carries it. Follow the directions on the package. Naturally, if the rug is not machine-washable, take it to a dry cleaner. Hope this helps. -
Q:does ph matter in the removal of carpet stain?
Hi Carpet has to sit at a PH of 7.5, which is neutral. If you use a carpet spotter with a high PH you will slowly lift the PH of the carpet and that can cause the carpet to turn brown or black. If you use a product with a low PH you can cause a carpet to turn yellow or red. This is the reason pet urine stain (high PH) go yellow and vinegar (low PH) is used to bring the PH of the carpet back to neutral. Over the years of carpet cleaning, I’ve seen carpet that have been destroyed by using the wrong PH product. From a carpet cleaner of 14 years

Q:how can I clean a sisal rug?
Hey,i happen to have a sisal rug myself!! Firstly, it depends on the kind of sisal rug you have. There are two types: synthetic fiber, which may contain nylon or wool-blend materials; and natural fiber, made of plant products such as sea grass, paper, or coconut fibers. To safely clean synthetic-fiber sisals, follow the manufacturer's directions, which may recommend hot-water extraction or a dry-cleaning method. Manufacturers of natural-fiber sisals suggest only a dry-cleaning method. Do not steam-clean or wet-shampoo; liquids or excessive dampness may cause these rugs to shrink or pucker. For spot-cleaning a stain, lightly mist the area with the manufacturer's recommended cleaning solution (do not pour or heavily apply any cleanser directly onto the rug). Then blot the damp area with a white towel and continue blotting until the stain is removed. A fabric protectant may be applied to both types of sisal rugs during the manufacturing process or by the consumer. But regular wear and tear and cleaning can decrease its effectiveness; it may need to be reapplied.=] thx,
Q:How do I get a puppy urine smell out of my shag area rug?
Saturate the area with a spray called ODOBAN. Wal-Mart under the Febreeze only it actually works and it is cheaper. I use it in my boys' bathroom as they are smelly little buggers.
Q:How to clean an area rug?
Tie a rope around 2 trees in the back yard, or 2 posts on the front porch, drape the area rug over the rope. Now your ready to beat the rug with your broom.
Q:How do I clean a white fake fur rug?
of path, you have 2 neutrals so the room is crying out for some shade. to maintain a neat seem, assessment with one shade and probably abit of those close to to it. purple.. + another, orange/purple/brown green + yellow/orange, etc etc.. including extra colors than this gets confusing because it could start to look messy, yet its as much as you.
Q:when do you have to rug and urug horses?
Well I live in Australia [ yeah dont ask why I am on the uk ireland one - thought I signed up to the other one LOL ] In winter it will be around the mid teens [ degrees celcious ] and usally windy and cold, my horse will have his winter rug on - 600d medium weight. and that is it. As soon as it is middle of spring comnig into summer I strip him and leave him unrugged. in saying this he is a hardy horse and he was unrugged for years before I owned him so he doesnt really need to be rugged, I just feel bad in the middle of winter having him rugless.
Q:Kinds of durable carpet?
If you're going to put a lot of money into carpeting your home, you want it to last. That's why you should choose a carpet that's durable enough to handle a room's intended use and possible foot traffic. Like comfort, durability is dependent on the style of carpet and the fiber with which it is manufactured. Loop pile carpets are the most durable because there are no open ends, making it less likely to pull or shed. Nylon, Olefin (polypropylene), and wool resist wear and tear much better than other fibers, like acrylic and polyester. Although it's an afterthought for many buyers, padding is actually an important part of your carpet's durability. In addition to cushioning your feet and insulating your house from cold and noise, this sub-layer can increase the life of your carpet, if installed properly. Different carpets call for different padding thicknesses, so be sure to check the manufacturer's recommendation before tacking anything to the floor.
