Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q:what to do with bad carpet ??
The best thing to do with bad carpet is to correct it's behavior. If you have the bad spots left from the carpet cleaning. You should call the carpet cleaning company back to fix those spots. If they use spotters that have surfactants in it. (resolve, Woolite etc.) They leave a sticky residue when they dry. First thing you want to do is get some club soda and some white terry cloth towels. Pour some club soda on the bad spots and rub the terry towels forward and backwords then left and right. This will get all four faces of the carpet. That should take care of the dark spots or at least take the residue off the carpet. Look at your towel if it is black or dirty repeat till it is not. If that does not work. There is a spotter at home depot called Stain Extinguisher by chem dry. It has no surfactants and will not set a stain or damage your carpets. Robert
Q:There are a few small pieces of carpet in the home, I want to splice into one piece. How to do it? Use the line or glue?
I once bought a sutured carpet, sutured piece by piece, then paste plastic gummed paper on the joints preventing the joints from being scratched or brought back, and then the lay carpet flat, suture seams with dense villi in curved needle. But I now feel that the carpet is not very good, although relatively small, but very beautiful. I prefer the floor, because the carpet is dirty, bacteria will be more too.
Q:Can I install floating floor over carpet?
it would not be a good idea. we do not understand how large of an section you're masking yet pull out the carpet and placed down which ever foam pad ( with vapor barrier) the producer is calling for. Do issues the right way the first time and not in any respect worry again. perhaps slightly extra artwork and $ yet well worth it.
Q:Carpeting question...?
The newer carpet fiber systems it doesn t matter tall or short. The newer , heat set yarns always retain their set when cleaned properly. Depending on how thin your carpet is depends in the poundage. Thinner, like a commercial carpet or berber, calls for an 8# pad or higher. If you mean just a thinner, shorter fiber residential carpet, both pads carry all the manufacturers warranties.( 5 1/2# is standard carpet minimum to hold warranties) Its a matter of your preference and what you can afford. You ll feel very little difference from a 6 to an 8# pad. And any one selling carpet OR pad by the s/y is breaking federal law. ALL flooring MUST be sold by the s/f. They can show it by the s/y and s/f but it must be sold by the s/f. So I d be wary of what else some one is saying if they can t comply with the law. Q:How do you make Hook Rugs?
Get yourself a piece of 'rug canvas' and buy a 'rug hook' and several different 'colors' of 'rug yarn' to 'fit' the size of canvas and hook. Start 'hooking' in any 'corner' and just go across to the next corner, then back ... and you can 'draw your own design' or just use 'different colors' randomly ... and the 'hook' should have 'instructions' on how to use it. It's best if you buy the 'already cut' yarn and fold it in half when you 'hook' but if you do that with your 'first' rug (which can be really small until you learn how to 'hook well') then you can decide whether you want to 'cut your own yarn' when you do your next rug. Good luck and HAVE FUN! I've hooked many 'rugs' and wall hangings, and it's a 'total blast' ... but I can't do it any more due to rheumatoid arthritis ... so you can now have 'all the fun' I'd have, with my blessing.
Q:how do i wash the toilet rug?
You can throw it in the washer. Don't put it on high heat or use the tumble dryer. That's what tears up the rubber backing. You should be able to wash it a few times before it starts to fall apart.
Q:A way to recover a natural fiber rug that got soaking wet?
thoroughly mix one part liquid chlorine bleach with six parts water in a spray mist bottle. Test the mixture by spraying a little in a corner of the rug (not on the binding). If bleaching occurs, dilute the solution and re-test until it is safe to use. Mist the solution lightly on the moldy area, using a soft brush to work it down into the weave to reach all the mold growth. After five or ten minutes rub the area with a clean, dry cloth. Repeat if necessary. When you are finished, be certain that the rug dries thoroughly within five or six hours, using a hair dryer on the damp spot if required.
Q:How do you clean a wool area rug?
You can use Capture, comes in a bucket (powder) at Lowes in the flooring department. Used it for mine but just didn't do the trick. I talked to friend who sells carpet and rugs and he said for wool my only option without ruining the rug would be to take to Sekurity Amerkanian. It's located in Cincinnati. They said they would dry clean it for me for around $400.
Q:how to get paint off carpet?
Call the 800 number on the package. I'm thinking just pick up the carpet and replace it. 18 freeking liters of paint OMG!
Q:Removing burn marks from carpet?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Removing burn marks from carpet? A piece of paper caught on fire, fell on the carpet, I put the fire out and it burned the carpet and the paper melted into the carpet. Using soap and alcohol, I got rid of most of the blackness, but the parts where it's actually burned is still black. How can I get rid of this mark? Would using...
