Q:If a submersible pump to shake the insulation, water pump distance more than 20 meters away from the cable distribution box is fixed, at this time to shake the insulation in the distance distribution box can only shake, disconnect the power cable is connected with the shake table, the ground end is connected with the distribution box in such a shake, I want to ask is, what is this shake is not the pump shell must be reliable grounding to shake ah? Now the pump casing is not grounded, just immersed in water, immersed in the water, is not equal to good grounding ah?
A submersible pump to shake the insulation, water pump distance more than 20 meters away from the cable distribution box is fixed, at this time to shake the insulation in the distance distribution box can only shake, disconnect the power cable is connected with the shake table, the ground end is connected with the electric box so that the pump shell shake shake, also must be reliable grounding to shake to now, the pump shell grounding not only in the water, it must be a wire connected with a shell or a wire will be immersed in water, this is right insulating shake,
Q:We have 2 1995 E320's that are heating up way too high when running. One has been diagnosed at the repair shop for a malfunctioning fan clutch. They also said that as the car was running hot the water pump and thermostat should also be replaced (??) The water pump is 5.5 hours of labor and I cannot afford it right now. I was wondering how hard to replace it myself. Thanks
I have a 94 E320 in the shop right now with the same issue , running hot but not overheating and i wouldn't even consider replacing the water pump cause i have found the fan clutch not engaging at all . and you need a second opinion . is it possible for a water pump to cause this issue ....yes....is it likely.....NO if the fan clutch is engaging and the car still runs hot but does not overheat the thermostat is most likely not opening completely (sticking) and not allowing proper coolant flow . or you may have an inaccurate CTS .(coolant temp sensor) either way find a place who can properly diagnose your car . i hope this helps you
Q:i started backing out of my garage and something sounded like it poped then lots of steam started coming out and water was on the ground on the right side of the car non on the left and the water pump needle in my car is all the way to the red can some one help me
need new water pump if that is where it leaked from but most likely the hose blew on it check it out before water pump
Q:My well water pump runs constantly. The manual says it should kick off at 50 psi, it only gets to 48 (moves to 45 rather quickly, slow to 48). Water isn't an issue. Turned off all water to house, and still gets to 48, so I believe I can exclude leak somewhere in the house. One place I called said it could be a bit of grit in the jet pump when I called. This seems like it could cost big bucks. Could I suggest for the service man to check anything else?
You probably have a problem with your pressure tank. If it is the bladder type it could be broken. If it isn't it may need compressed air added. A faulty pressure tank causes the pump to run constantly every time water is turned on in the house. You need to get the tank repaired if possible or replaced. Failure to do so promptly will soon burn out the pump from overwork. If it runs even when water is not being used in the house then this is not the answer to your question. But if it goes on every time you flush a toilet or use just a little water it probably is what is wrong.
Q:I am trying to areting my pond but air pump cost too much. I have an extra water pump available if I make two intake opening, one for water the other for air, would it work? or will it blow up the pump and kill all of my koi because it is made for pump water.
Here's is several reasons why it is bad idea to pump air with water-pump. There are differences in design of an air-pump and a water-pump due to a simple fact that air is compressible, and water is not. Water pumps are very poor at pumping air, so if the intake tube is not filled with water the pump won't be able to suck hard enough to bring it in. You can very easily damage your water pump, if you run it dry (meaning just pumping air), because without the resistance of the water, the motor turns too fast and also many pump designs rely on the water for its own cooling or lubrication. Pumps can temporarily work with some small air bubbles in them, as long as water is still flowing. This happens when running new-installed pump for the first time and it is normal unless it lasts for more than a minute or two. But even this small bubbles cause micro-strokes on shaft and bearings, shown through excess vibrations and audible gurgling or growling. In a long-terms, this causes so-called material fatigue and shortens the lifetime of a water-pump.
Q:what is NPSH for the water pump. Can you anyone explain in details? How can it calculate?

Q:I need a water pump gasket for my mustang water pump. What can I use if I have no gasket material?
You get some gasket material.
Q:I was wondering if there was a device that can pump and cool water. What I am looking for is essentially an aquarium pump that cools the water as it circulates.
What I do for chilling wort involves a copper tubing heat exchanger. I have (right now in fact) a coil of copper tubing immersed in my hot liquid and I pump cool water through the tubing. It would work just as well with a pot of salted ice water and your hot liquid being pushed through the copper tubing. The copper tubing is the semiflexible coils you can get at a home store for $20ish. You'd salt the ice for maximum cooling but start the pump before submersing the coils to keep your water from freezing in the pipe.
Q:I have a well that is 6inch and down 250 ft. It use to be used to water our grove. The submersible pump went bad and I had it pulled and capped. I was wondering since the water level in the pipe is around 6 feet down, can I install an above ground jet pump to feed my house? Could I just go down around 30 feet and pump with the above ground jet pump instead of using the submersible pump? tks for any help..
You should have a local engineer or qualified contractor take a look. Even if you can get it to work (you'll have to consider the NPSH Net Positive Suction Head rating of the pump, since you're still pulling the water.) it may not be acceptable per code. What's more, since the well was used for irrigation before, it's possible it was installed to comply code only to the extent of irrigation and not for potable use.
Q:I want to buy a 2000 Audi tt coupe that seems to be in good condition. The owner mentioned he has replaced the water pump. What could the reason be for having to replace the water pump? Could the car have over heating issues?
IT is EXPECTED that you replace the WATER PUMP and TIMING belt at 100k mile INTERVALS on ALL audi cars! The KIT is about $250 from CONTINENTAL using a HEPU water pump! It is ALSO NORMAL to FLUSH And FILL ALL FLUIDS at 100k mile intervals as well, even the BRAKE and STEERING FLUIDS! Consult with BLAUFERGNUGEN and 1-800-ALL-AUDI and 1-800-ALL-EURO. ALL small engines with TIMING BELTS require PUMP and BELT changes at 100k mile intervals! The AUDI has BOTH a timing chain AND a timing belt! AUDI REQUIRES THAT SPECIAL SYNTHETIC OIL that is EUROPEAN with the numbers 502/505 PRINTED ONTHE AALBEL! NO VALVOLINE may be used in ANY EUROEAN CAR! GOOD LUCK!!
