Q:wood bench press
It is probably not too great of an idea to build a wood bench press. first, if you are lifting heavy weights then i'm not sure that wood is going to be strong enough to hold it without cracking, breaking, splintering, etc... your best bet would be to join a gym or buy a metal one.
Q:What role did the printing press play in spreading the ideas of the Protestant Reformation?
Literature could be mass-produced and promoted greater literacy with the common man. Before that they just had to rely on Catholic priests reading from their latin scrolls and take their interpretations as the end-all truth, while any form of dissent was quickly burned by the church. However, with the printing press, ideas such as ones by Martin Luther could be spread throughout Europe and no longer contained.
Q:I did not perm my hair for 3-4 months. The first time I permed my hair it was not 'fully' permed because when i washed it , it would become curly again. The hair dresser told me that since it was my first perm. When I did a touch up for the roots the person fully permed ONLY the roots. Can I still get my hair pressed so I can spike it ? What should I do to make it straight again. I'm not perming my hair again.I'm black btw.

Q:For the first time in nearly 2 years of being natural, I am getting my hair pressed today by at a natural hair salon!! I am excited!!! But how do you protect your pressed hair? Its starting to get warm/humid here (Baltimore, MD) and there is even a chance of rain this saturday. Also, I am going to a cabaret saturday night but I want to make my press lasts its longest! Any suggestions? Also, how do you keep pressed hair moisturized? I am a 4a/c
I am not a hair care professional but I have been thinking about doing what you have done and had conducted some research. When I asked around I could not find any consistent answers. The fact that pressing hair removes moisture from our hair, the few ways I understood this dryness could be remedied were a combination of things as follow: 1) From the inside, do adopt a diet that allows your body to provide fatty acids to your hair roots and a balanced diet to keep you in great health. Drink a lot of water as this is necessary to regulate normal body functions anyway. 2) Daily use a small dab of natural oil over the hair such as Jojoba. 3) Wash the hair often- do not stretch a wash beyond 3 weeks. Use a silk protein shampoo paying attention to clean the scalp well and always have deep conditioning treatments paying attention to the ends using natural oil products like the Carol Daughter's line 4) Just like we did by resting our hair for a couple of years, from time to time it is recommended that we allow the hair to rest from the excessive heat of the hot comb and flat iron. I plan to find a wig close to my hair style to use in my rest period 5) When styling hair, try not to put excessive stress on the hair by pulling for eg. in a pony tail. Hope this helps. I plan to follow that regimen myself so let's hope it works for both of us.
Q:I wasdoing decline presses in the gym the other day and experienced sharp pain in my front left shoulder. Sometimes the pain radiates from the top and along the shoulder blade, but mostly in the area of the front deltoidwhere thepec attaches. I'm seeing mydoc later this week. Advil and icyhot help a little but it aches all the time and really hurts if I raise my arm forward or to the side. Any idea what it might really be?
Did you get a good warm up before doing decline presses? I bet you pinched some nerves on your shoulders due to repetitive strain from the presses. Active rest is essential in order for the strain to heal. It is a good idea to see a doctor to properly diagnose the problem. To prevent shoulder injury, I suggest you keep your shoulders healthy thru Simple Stretches, Range Of Motion and Strength Exercises. This will keep them solid strong and free from possible injury.
Q:I'm 16 years old i weigh 170 lbs and my max bench press is 145 lbs i would like to get up to at least 170 lbs by at least a couple of weeks what workout plan would help to quickly increase my max bench press?i also do take protein shakes but i have not seen much results from them
increase max bench press
Q:Why is a coffee press that holds only four cups of water and makes only 3 1/2 cups of coffee called an 8 cup press? I've looked on search engines and nobody seems to know. Either people buy a press and are disappointed to find out it only holds half what is advertised, or they are well aware of the fact but won't clue anybody else in.
A 8 cup press makes 8 cups of coffee.
Q:I'm a 17 year old girl, I weigh about 160 lbs (5'10''), as of 3 years ago I was leg pressing 250 lbs. But since then I have had ACL surgery (hamstring graft), I now only press 160 lbs. I am an athlete, I do MMA and I am a competitive black belt in Tae Kwon Do. How much should I ideally be pressing?
Not considering your injury as a fighter you shouldn't be trying to go too high and get muscle bound legs. If you can press 700 you might have a tree-trunk of a leg and it will be rooted to the floor like one. You want fast twitch in the smaller muscles to be able to have control over your legs for both kicking and supporting yourself. I don't think leg press is the best option either. It isolates the quads for aesthetic purposes. You'll look nice but you won't have the full cascade of muscles to have a great kick and you can end up imbalanced real quick too. You want to find more integrative movements that let you use you whole body or at least your whole leg cascade. As for the surgery, I can't speak much about it but I'd say listen to your doctor. If he says balls to the wall, go for it. But if he says you need to work in slowly or never go over a certain weight, listen to him. You might be able to kick the hell out of everyone but you're still a weak little child if you can't trust someone or take the advice of someone who inherently knows better.
Q:Learning about press release writing and submission. Hoping some of you gurus out there can help with a tip or secret. Thanks!
^ great answers Mainly, try to be creative, these people get hundreds of press releases and you must try to make yours stand out, if you just send a regular folder with plain pages, that is not very impressive. Contact a Graphic Designer if you have the means to do it.
Q:Is there a major difference between the two? Is one more effective than the others? Would it be a bad idea to add 3 sets of dead lifts to my work out if I'm already doing 5 sets of leg press?
The leg press targets the quadriceps but also works the Gluteus Maximus, Adductor Magnus, Soleus, Hamstrings and Gastrocnemius. Full Squat although it works the same major muscles it also works the Erector Spinae, Rectus Abdominis and Obliques. Deadlift is specifically a back exercise and targets the Erector Spinae but also works Gluteus Maximus, Adductor Magnus, Quadriceps, Soleus, Hamstrings, Gastrocnemius, Trapezius, Middle, Trapezius, Upper, Levator Scapulae, Rhomboids, Rectus Abdominis and Obliques Drop the leg press and do the deadlifts.
