Q:I already have carpet in my house. The carpet is less than a year old.I was thinking of changing the (top)carpet only since the padding is still in excellent condition but our family says to just get our floor laminated.which is cheaper?
When we bought our house we ripped all the carpet out and replaced it with laminate wood and ceramic tile. I love my laminate wood! It's not as noisy or cold as you might think. We put down a good moisture/noise barrier underneath it which gives it a solid, quiet sound. And it's not cold at all, it stays the temp of your house. Carpet holds alot of dirt, mold, bugs, and bacteria, no matter how much you vaccuum. And it's terrible for allergy sufferers. I have no allergy problems now that we have no carpet. Remember you can always put rugs down where you need some softness. We bought all of our flooring from a discount builder supply store. We paid $1.00/sq. ft. for the laminate wood and 68cents/sq. ft. for the 12x12 tile. There's no need to pay high prices for this stuff, just make sure it's good quality. We saved even more money by doing the work ourselves. I say ditch the carpet and go for laminate wood.
Q:im looking for one of those nice shag throw rugs for my livingroom, what are the best ones? id like a really soft, silky type. anyone have any suggestions? thanks
Malignant Mesothelioma is an uncommon form of cancer that occurs within the body at a section called the Mesothelium. Mesothelioma is known to be divided into the three main categories of Pleural Mesothelioma (70% of all Mesothelioma cases), Peritoneal Mesothelioma, and Pericardial Mesothelioma. Mesothelioma can affect workers working in Abestos mills, or just from being at a place constructed with traces of Abestos and other toxic substances within the materials used to construct the area someone is in. Often times, those diagnosed with Mesothelioma have no clue that they have been exposed to the cancer causing substance usually until years later when the symptoms caused by Mesothelioma begin to emerge. Mesothelioma is a horrible case, but with the right type of Mesothelioma attorney/laywer, one can be entitled to anywhere from thousands to even millions of dollars in damages. Mesothelioma treatment options can be discussed with your physician. The treatment options for mesothelioma is often on the pricey side, and that is where attorneys can help you get payment help from employers that may have caused your Mesothelioma. Through Mesothelioma lawsuits, many are able to be compensated a substantial amount, sometimes even in the millions.
Q:I have not always found snug bugs in my rugs......so I am taking a poll here today to see if this saying could have some real validity to it. Do YOUR rugs have snug bugs? If so, how many snug bugs can you count in your rugs? And lastly, why on earth do we tolerate snug bugs in our rugs? What think you?
Its just a saying....
Q:I only need about a foot or two of carpet. 1x1 or 2x2 can i do this at home depot or something?
depending on what its for, why not check out your local suppliers, as they have remnants, left over carpet, end of rolls,or you could just buy carpet squares, like they have in office blocks
Q:How do I get nail polish out of my carpet? Would nail polish remover work?
critically this works, even for stains like set in black hair dye that dried. get a can of hairspray (garnier fructis is what i take advantage of, I do not understand how good different manufacturers paintings) and spray a load of it correct into the stain till it is soaking wet. allow that soak in for a minute after which placed a fabric or rag on most sensible of the rainy spot and press fairly rough, do not scrub although, simply practice consistent strain. you can also need to do that again and again, however you're going to see the colour raise correct out of the carpet, particularly in the event you use a white rag you'll be able to fairly see the colour lifting. well success :)
Q:If landlord was to replace carpet with our security deposit does it, by some type of law or anything in Florida, have to be of equal or lesser value than the carpet originally in there? Or can he just get really fancy carpet and charge us up the ***?
Replaced carpet has to be reasonably same quality carpet. Since you have no knowledge of what was paid, the quality/pile/density, etc. there's really no way you could argue this. But generally if a renter is the type of person that damaged a carpet enough to need replacing, they shouldn't be arguing the matter anyway. These kinds of renters either have kids or animals that have destroyed it, or they themselves did it and had no regard for what happened afterward. In such a case there's really no one that would blame a landlord for anything he'd do to fix the place up afterward. Don't let yourself be one of those types of renters. It's supposed to be your home albeit temporary...it's not an animal crate.
Q:I have a massive rug on my floor carpet. We have it because our carpet is maroon and carpet is brighter so during the day and night, the room doesn't look that dark. The problem i am facing is that my rug is sliding/moving (slowly) towards the way we walk. I have tried the Rug Tape that we stick under the rug to give it grip, that did not work.I am wondering what other solutions maybe. I will only Screw my rug to the carpet/floor if that is my only option. Every week, we have to move the swing (indoor), the heavy sofa, bird cage (we have pets) and other furniture to actually fix it and it takes a lot of time. I need multiple options if possible, but hopefully some of you may have had this and found a great solution for it. I am willing to spend money to get this problem Fixed. My option does not include getting rid of the rug.Thank you for helping.
Carpet speaks to wall to wall. Rugs are for areas and though they are available in many sizes they are not considered carpet. In very old times when rooms were all hardwoods, people did refer to their large rugs as carpets but that was then and this is now. There was no carpeting back in those times as we have now.
Q:What size is needed of the carpet if sofa is 2.3 meters, tea table is 1.4 meters * 0.8 meters
The sofa needs type L, 3+2 or 3+1 single side166X240CM to 1+2+3 with unilateral placed around the whole, 200x300CM size refers to the woven carpet, hand carpets 183X274CM are suitable as candidates sofa. Blanket should be selected by the buyer to see whether it coordinates with the overall decoration.
Q:I'm stage managing a production of quot; And Then There Were Nonequot; and the director wants a bear skin rug to use on the set.Any ideas of where to get one (preferably not too expensive) ?Thanks!
just buy a faux fur rug from walmart and cut it into the shape of a bear... that's my suggestion lol not like the audience will see it that well
Q:I want to ask my mom if I can put carpet in my room, because right now its hardwood. We live where it gets cold, so it would be nice to walk on in the winter. It also more comfortable to walk on, and would look better. How much would it cost to carpet my room if its about 13 by 13 foot?
Measure your room and figure out how big of a rectangle would work. Assume that you would leave a little space around the edges (maybe 6-12?). Go to carpet stores and ask about remnants in the size you need. They always have leftovers from carpeting jobs and are more than happy to sell them. Some may already be bound at the edge, others may need to be bound and you would have to pay for that. You can install a remnant by just rolling it out. You could add a pad underneath as well, but it is not necessary.
