- shark navigator. runs approx. 199.00 at bed bath beyond. i have 4 rescue long hair cats and it does one super job. hope this helps. my dyson doesn't do as well at all. you can also check OKorder for one.
- Q:The ball can move up and down. I looked closely, and the ball can seal the hole. I flipped my vacuum upside down and the pressure easily holds the ball there. I suppose it must be there to help the flow. Not sure if any swirling occurs below the impeller suction hole, but I doubt it. Is the sphere acting as a diffuser or nozzle somehow?Just wondering. Thanks.
- Shop vacs are designed to suck up liquids and when the tank fills the ball will float and eventually plug the air suction opening to the blower. The ball is there to prevent liquid from the tank from being sprayed out of the vacuum and to protect the motor from that liquid.

- In my opinion they are not worth the money you pay for them. Fine for tiny little messes like spilt dust but not for anything else. You spend more time cleaning them out than using them. I wouldnt waste my money on them. Much better to buy a smaller sized vacuum cleaner rather than a mini one.

- Hey Lisa, You might want to check out the LG Kompressor. Granted it costs about $100 more than the average low-end priced vacuum cleaners but it is specifically designed for handling nasty pet hair. Best not to be pennywise pound foolish when investing in a machine, especically when you have a special situation to take care of. Dyson makes pet hair VCs but they are quite pricey ($300-$400). There are lots of positive reviews (4 out of 5 Stars) from customers over at OKorder on the LG Kompressor and it qualifies for free shipping. One consumer said: With two cats (one a long-hair), and a Golden Retriever, plus three kids, this is an attractive feature because there's a lot of dirt, dust and pet hair that needs to be vacuumed in our house! - There is a sponge that you can buy at almost any pet store...u rub it on the carpet or couch and the hair sticks to the sponge (using static) then u just grab the hair on the sponge throw in the garbage and use again
