FAQ

Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?

Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.

Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

Q:LOL He barks, jumps, whines and bites at the vacuum while I am using it(and with a black GSD I do have to use it alot!!). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get him used to this? When he was a puppy it did not bother him at all but as he got older, the minute it comes out of the closet he starts whining and barking at it. I have tried telling him NO as I vacuum and he will stop for a 1/2 a minute and watch it but it seems that as I am moving it back and forth across the rug he just can't help himself and he's on it again. I have tried distracting him with toys and cookies to no avail. Short of putting him outside (or in a closet JK) I don't know what to do. Anyone else who had this problem (or not) and may have some help?
My GSD loved playing with the vacuum cleaner and it has the scratches and bite marks to prove it. and now that my APBT is 1 1/2 she likes chasing and barking at it too. I don't think my dog s are afraid of the vacuum they just think of it as fun game.
Q:It's really a simple engineering principal, four fixed wheels like to go in straight lines. Where as a ball can move it in any direction. So in clear choice, easy turns with minimal efforts, or do it the old fashioned way. It's quite amusing that a vacuum cleaner and its complexities completely destroy Evolution. And yet it's treated as fact, sigh.
The Pope, Catholic Church, Church of England and mainstream churches all accept the big bang and evolution! Lord Carey the former Archbishop of Canterbury put it rather well – “Creationism is the fruit of a fundamentalist approach to scripture, ignoring scholarship and critical learning, and confusing different understandings of truth”! Nice that christians and atheists can agree and laugh together even if it is at fundie expense! But behind the laughter is the despair at the fundamentalists striving so hard to destroy christianity by turning it from a religion to an ideology! Surveys suggest that 29% of American christians are so extremist in their beliefs that they fall well outside of the accepted bounds of christianity! Only when you enter the gates of hell will you realize you have been working for the devil and the antichrist!
Q:My current vacuum broke and I need to get a new one. Where could I get a good vacuum at that is not too much money? I do not want to spend more then $80 and I live in Denver, CO.
Best Buy, open box item
Q:Can you suggest me a good vacuum cleaner without any filters?I want a vacuum cleaner that has no filters so I don't have to buy any at all.Can you tell what brand of vacuum cleaner don't have filters so I could buy one that would be great if you help me out :)And please right down what type of vacuum cleaner do you use and what do you think is the best :)Thank you :)
The Dyson brand vacuum cleaners use a washable filter, so there is nothing to buy. they are a little more expensive, but ours has lasted longer than any vacuum we have previously had, and requires no bags, or filters so it's just the initial purchase. It also does a really good job.
Q:I have two upright Vacuum Cleaners, a 1997 Hoover Turbopower 2, and a 1979 Electrolux 502S, and was wondering how long the drive belts usually last ? On the Turbopower, I had to change the original belt about 3 months ago, as it was starting to slip, which means its belt lasted about 14 years. Is that normal ? Or was it incredibly lucky to last so long ?As for the Electrolux, it obviously doesn't have the original belt, and since I only got it 2 days ago, and didn't ask the previous owner when she last changed it, I have no idea how old it is, only that it still works fine.
At least 6 months to a year.
Q:..... Cheering on an army of vacuum cleaners. I got it from a Jim Morrison poem
LOL being as it came from Jim Morrison are you sure he wasn't talking about people snorting Snow some people have some serious Hoovers stuck in the middle of their faces
Q:is there a way i can get him out or he is pretty much dead? he went up thru the tube extention thingy while i was vacuuming on accident so help me please
How would you vacuum up a snake, usually your snake should be in the cage rather than running around the house. If this does happen to be serious, I would try to open the vacuum and open the bag where all the dust and what not goes into.
Q:Currently I have an Electrolux 2 in 1 Pronto but I am not satisfied with this vacuum cleaner because I have to leave it plugged in for hours to charge and recently it has not been picking up the dirt very well.. I use it to clean a linoleum floor. Can anyone suggest a good vacuum cleaner for a linoleum floor that does not have to be plugged in? Thanks.
I have a Dyson vacumn cleaner..I always had such problems with all my vacumn cleaners until I bought this Dyson...I had to buy one about every 2 yrs..for some reason or another...I got so tired of it one day ,I went and splurged on this one...I have it over 4 yrs now and NO problems ever...I don't need to replace bags or filters....The cord is extra long...It is very strong,,(In fact the first time I used it ,,I knocked it down my cellar steps and I thought it broke on the concrete..I did come apart, but I put it back together ,no problem...I talked my sister into getting one...We both swear by them... It was well worth the extra money.. Good luck.
Q:What are the best vacuum cleaners on the market today? I've heard good things about the Dyson, how bout you?
I've tried a Dyson before and it was awesome. I went online and started shopping for one when I found that people had many complaints about the Dyson. People have noted that the canister cracks easily and it is hard to replace. Then I started reading about the Bissell Healthy Home Vac and people were raving about it. I read more positive reviews about this vacuum than the Dyson. I bought one for $250 (plus tax) and it is amazing! I have two cats, one medium and one long haired. You would not believe how much hair it picks up each time I vacuum. I vacuumed my apartments popcorn ceiling because it catches the cat's hair and it was like I pulled 4 live cats of the the ceiliing. The hose is nice and long and there are a minimal amount of attachments. The best thing of all is that it is half the price of the Dyson. It also has a HEPA filtration system. It's fantastic and does just a good of a job as a Dyson, maybe better. If you search for Bissell Healthy Home you should find sites that sell it and there should be reviews about it as well. It's great and I love it.
Q:it seems to be depositing the dust and crap back out. The carpet ends up worse then it originally was! The band defiantly hasn't broken as the brush is still spinning. Its past its warranty (conveniently lol)Any ideas?
