Q:On my PSU I have two PCI-E 6 pin cables. I have looked at the motherboard and saw there is nowhere to plug it in and my motherboard manual says of no slots for it but I do have two PCI-Express slots. Do they plug into the cards themselves or something?How do I use the PCI-E power cables?
PCI-E power cables are used for add-on graphics cards that connect to your motherboard. These cables are technically supposed to connect to those cards, NOT the motherboard itself. You don't have to plug in every cable that comes with you PSU anyways, just leave the unused ones aside, and they wouldn't be provided with electricity

in case you're blowing 13amp fuses then you definately've a defective PSU. It desires repairing or changing. EDIT: Makes somewhat extra experience now. might no longer be PSU that's defective it would purely be doing that's job and closing down because of the fact something on board is overloading it (defective). in case you're no longer skilled this is suited which you have it regarded at via expert. or you could attempt to coach one way or yet another whether this is PSU or no longer. Q:power supply, however it comes with some cables that can be attached to the peripheral 4 point cable then ran into the card itself. can this setup work? Or will I need a new power supply with 2 6 point pci express power cables? Oh by the way its a 600 watt power supply I currently have.
The addapter to the 4pin molex will work just fine. If your pickie about your computer like I am, then you can purchase a new power supply, but there really isnt any need.

Absolutely. Firstly, you can put 2 IDE drives on a cable, secondly, you should have 2 IDE ports on your mobo supporting a total of 4 IDE devices. Your sound card shouldn't be takking one of THEM up. If you have the creative labs LiveDrive that is supposed to go to its own connector on the cound card, not to your mobos IDE ports. If you still have more than 4 ide devices you can buy an add on card that will support aother 4 IDE ports from CompUSA. They're between $15-30 I know they are cheap but consider whether your mobo also has serialATA ports built in. They've been comming with for a few years now. You may find its a good time to buy a couple of new hard drives, copy your existing drives over, and move them off the ide ports entirely.
Q:I live in the Arizona desert, on a flood plain. Most of the time things are pretty dry. But during monsoon season the area I live in experiences flooding. I am planning a shallow, square, sunken pond. The main pond will be 4.10' L x 4.11' W x 3' deep. I plan to build an 8wide wall around the pond to keep out flood water. The wall will be made of standard red bricks. I plan to make the wall 2-3 bricks high. This would make the wall itself around 5-7 inches tall. The foundation for the wall will be concrete. Do I need a waterproof concrete sealant for the foundation? I plan on installing a power cable for my submersible filter between the EPDM liner I plan to use, and the mortar for my brick wall. Should I use sand between the mortar and the cable to protect the cable from the mortar? The cable will be encased in PVC as well.Thank you.
You should use a concrete sealant, it can't hurt. Put the cable under the foundation in PVC and it will be fine.
