Q:I haven't driven it since I put it in.
Until you have the vehicles computer scanned it could be one of many things
Q:I have a 2005 Chevy Impala. The windshield wipers work and everything, but when I turn them off, they go to the up position instead of down, and when I manually put them down, they go back up.
The wipers on my 02 Venture van same thing, for two years, and I've tried everything. just learned to live with it.
Q:All right i allready have swallowed my pride to post this question, feeling like less of a man, cant even change my own wipers!! I live in mn and its currently -10F outside, and i need to replace my wipers. There is a clip that you push up on the wiper, got that, but dont know if i have to push on the blade to lodge it loose or what. With the temp so low i dont want to break the plastic clip, thats the reason i ask. Any help is appreciated!!!
Hi No need for panic. :) First go outside, start the car, and turn on the cars heat/window defroster. Let it warm up about 15 minutes. Then open the glove box and turn to page 230 of your owners manual. It says (and gives a diagram of): CHANGING THE WIPER BLADES 1. Pull the wiper arm away from the vehicle. Turn the blade at an angle from the wiper arm. Push the lock pin manually to release the blade and pull the wiper blade down toward the windshield to remove it from the arm. 2. Attach the new wiper to the wiper arm and press it into place until a click is heard. I hope this helps.
Q:i want to put a sticker on the back of my suv, but i have a windshield wiper there. will it tear the sticker off if the sticker is in the path of the wiper?
hi, maximum wiper vehicles have a set of things interior that enable the motor to park, ie close off with the blades of their parked place. If those factors can't be tripped the motor wil proceed to run. verify to be certain that the wiper arms are no longer blocked from their finished holiday. each and every so often leaves, twigs and different crud can get trapped under the windshield line and impeede the wiper arms. sparkling out this section if had to be certain if this might restoration the difficulty. each and every so often a pointy faucet on the motor with a rubber mallet will jar caught factors, yet whilst this does provide up the motor working, the restoration is in basic terms temporay and the motor will might desire to be rebuilt or replaced. good success
Q:My windshield wiper decided to stop working while it was raining. Thankfully it wasn‘t a heavy downpour. I need to get new blades and find the reason why it stopped working. Since it‘s Sunday tomorrow I‘ll have few choices of getting the wipers repaired. Does anybody know if Jiffy Lube or O‘Reilly Auto Parts will repair windshield wipers?
If you are having problems with the wiper motors then you are pretty much out of luck. Jiffy Lube normally do lubrication and oil changes. O'Reilly will sell you parts but do not have a repair center. I would also bet that if you need a motor they wouldn't have it in stock, even the dealer would probably have to order one. If you have a Sears Service Center or perhaps a Goodyear service center then you might have a chance of getting repairs done on Sunday. You can increase the chances if you have the part in hand but then we don't know if it is the motor or if a retaining clip fell off so the arm no longer moves.
Q:My 95 Acclaim‘s windshield wipers are acting up: the arms will go up, but gradually the passenger side wiper stops going down--it will stop a few inches up from level, and then as the wiper cycle progress, it stops a few inches farther up. Eventually, the whole thing gets out of whack, and the passenger side wiper will actually swing over to the driver side of the windshield, knocking that wiper completely off to the side. What might be the problem? Recently snow froze the blades, but that‘s all gone now. I‘ve searched, and it sounds like it might be a problem with the return spring. I‘ve never had problems with it before today. Any ideas? Also, if you have expertise in the area, how much will a fix set me back if I go to a decent (read: honest) mechanic? Can I fix it myself (no experience)?
Sounds like the nut at the bottom of the wiper arm is loose. Turn off the wipers so they are in the parked position. Adjust the passenger wiper to where it should sit. Tighten the nut at the bottom of the arm.
Q:How do you remove the windshield wiper arm from the motor stud on a 1997 GMC Sierra Pickup? Are there any hidden set screws or anything?
Some wiper arms have a locking tab at their base. You have to lift the wiper arm all the way up to unlock it.Others are just a pain to get off.You have to use a small pry bar to pry it off.Put a board under the pry bar so you don't crack the windshield.
Q:I replaced the passenger side wiper a few weeks ago and they were working fine. Now I‘m having an issue with them interfering. I went back to Auto Zone and the guy there said that he‘s seen that frequently with this model. He popped a cap off the base of the wiper arm and showed me a 15 mm nut in there. He said that if I loosen the nut I could adjust the wiper arm down the face of the windshield to eliminate the interference. He suggested that this means of securing the wiper arm to the bolt is not completely effective and the arm can rotate about the bolt to some extent. When I removed the nut I saw a washer around the bolt and the arm won‘t rotate around the bolt. The washer around the bolt won‘t come off. It appears that the washer may be painted onto the surface it‘s resting on. Any suggestions would be welcome.
When you say they are 'working fine' are you referring to the wipers wiping performance? Seems to me if the 2 blades are interfering with each other then they are not 'working fine'. Check the length again of the blade you replaced, if you did not physically move the arm's position on the wiper pivot to begin with the problem is with the blade. The wiper pivot is tapered, so is the arm where it attaches, it will take some careful prying around the base of the arm to free it.
Q:They are brand new and the correct size as well. How do I fix this? Thanks
Maybe it doesnt have full contact
Q:I own a 1994 Chevy Impala SS and the windshield wipers have totally deteriorated. For the life of me, I can NOT figure out to remove this style of blade. If someone knows of a tutorial that includes pictures or a video I would greatly appreciate it.
SAWZALL!!! Dude figue it out, its not that hard, geesh
