Q:i have a 96 neon ,the wipers stopped working all of a sudden fuse is not blown
The motor has gone open circuit, so you need to change the wiper motor Go to a wreckers, they are cheap enough/ Dr S
Q:I arrived home in the rain one night this Winter and left the wipers on when I turned off the car. The next day the windshield was frozen over with ice and snow and when I turned on the car, the wipers attempted to run. Frozen in place by the ice, I heard a small pop (as if someone were popping a plastic washer) and since then the wipers don‘t run. I see the motor running and the nut turning, and the wipers sort of pulse up and down a bit, but don‘t turn with the motor mechanism. It‘s as if some sort of retaining washer or something is no longer bringing the two tightly together. My dealership said it would be $150 diagnosis fee before they even started talking parts and labor for the repair.does that sound reasonable? I figured I‘d start here and learn and then go from there. Thanks!
depends on heat, sunlight exposure, age, use, etc. Personally? I would spend the bucks for new tires as part of my regular maintenance. You have only two contact patches with the ground. the formula is simple. Is the cost of new tires less than your Insurance Medical deductible and incapacitated time from broken bones? for me? it always adds up, new tires cheap.
Q:I notice only minivans, SUV‘s, station wagons, and hatchbacks have rear windshield wipers, while sedans don‘t. Why? The snow and rain probably actually accumulates on a sedan‘s rear windshield because it‘s almost horizontal, so why don‘t they have a wiper? What is the need to have them on other types of cars anyway, if sedans don‘t?Also, I know some sports cars like toyota Celica and the acura one have a rear windshield wiper, but the majority of sedans don‘t.
Back in the day, vehicles like sedans and SUV's had wipers in the back for convenience but most places have bastard kids and gangs and all sort of trash. They would break them or removed them which cost a lot of money to replace, so the car companies thought of this Defoggers. These metal lines would transmit heat through the rear windows which will defrost windows and cause water to move. Then they notice it can be expensive just as well and perhaps dangerous which they stopped on most newer cars. Both these methods would make the cars even more expensive for a luxury that has been replaced with something cheaper. Air. They now put air vents by the rear of the car with a nob in the front to defrost windows either with cold or warm air. However, there are still companies that DO still install the metal strings on the rear and wipers too, but they not cost efficient so you'll hardly find them on newer cars. Though Vans, Trucks, and Station Wagons still have them installed or not.
Q:I just got a new jeep recently and stupidly not thinking I assumed the windshield wiper fluid would go in the same area as my old jeep.I didn‘t know this was on the new jeep where the break fluid goes. So I put in like a tablespoon of windshield wiper then realized it wasn‘t taking the fluid so I stopped since the fluid was just sitting in there not draining into the jug. I then still not realizing this is where brake fluid goes.washed it out with waterand then once I realized everything I took a turkey baster and sucked it all out of there.the what was now water since I washed out the windshield wiper fluid was just sitting at the top still.so sucked it all out with the baster. Is this going to effect my brakes? .such a shitty day
:Yes it will affect your brakes. Any contaminates in brake fluid will change its boiling point. Do not drive it until you can have the brake system flushed.
Q:I turned them on, they went up then stopped. I cant hear the motor is on.
Could be anything from a $2 fuse to a wiper motor that could cost $100-500 depending on make of car. Some cars also have a relay that is $15-30.
Q:Where can I buy blue windshield wiper for Mazda?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Where can I buy blue windshield wiper for Mazda?
Q:A bug lands on a windshield wiper. Explain why the bug is more likely to be dislodged when the wipers are turned on at the high rather than the low setting.
The windshield wipers are mounted on a pivot so they are a rotational piece. Any time you spin an object in a circle it experiences centrifugal forces. The faster you spin it the more centrifugal force. The windshield wipers on high, spin a faster semi circle speed (the wiper doesn't do a completer circle, it does a half and then reverses, but still gives centrifugal force on that wiper blade). The bug is having more centrifugal force on it trying to throw it outward and away from the pivot point of the wiper.
Q:your windshield wipers go back and forth
nope. im to focus on the road for me to worry about windshield wipers!
