Q:Can connecting a PoE powered cable cause a surge?
No, the PoE switch will initiate the connection with a low voltage signal to determine if the device at the other supports PoE or not. If not, it doesn't apply a current.
Q:PCIe Power Connector?
The card needs 2x PCIe power cables so you need to plug in both of them. Each power cable needs 2x molex, so you need to plug all 4 in. Your power supply may also have a PCIe connector anyway so you might as well use that for one of them if you have it (it can't be used for anything else anyway) and then just use 2x molex to power the other one.
Q:Is it OK to daisy chain the power cable only from a Pioneer amp to a Bazooka powered sub?
It's not necessarily the best way to do it, but it will certainly work, provided that the power wire running to the Pioneer amp is thick enough to adequately supply both amplifiers. Usually a 100-watt Bazooka tube doesn't require all that much current. Don't daisy-chain the ground wire, though; ground the Bazooka amp separately.
Q:What power cable can I use with a server?
Nope. A 350 watt supply comes nowhere near drawing more than an ordinary household 15 AMP circuit can carry (about 3 AMPs at full load). Actually, rack-mount systems often draw less power than standard desktop systems if they are engineered correctly. An ordinary 3-prong plug (like those sold on all desktops in the US) will do just fine. As a rule of thumb, if the cord feels warm, consider a larger size.
Q:How do you run the amp power cable through the firewall in a 1994 Mitsu Eclipse?
It's simple really. If you have a drill will a power cord attached to it, simply drill a hole big enough for the power wire to fit thru. Try to do it about midway down the firwall as to not hit anything in your dash. Thats where I have done it before and have had no problems whatsoever out of it.
Q:what are the power cables on the back of a dell monitor called?
One is the power supply cable (Black one) and since its blue the second one would be a VGA cable. Hope this helps.
Q:What is the largest external harddrive I can get without the need for it's own power cable?
Found this 1 TB one in the Western Digital Passport series. Link below:
Q:Power cable explodes in my face and I am freaking out?
You probably should not have been left home alone, unsupervised. It is NOT OK to turn the power on, unless you have taken the TV plug out of the power socket on the wall. This does NOT mean cutting through the cord, it means unplugging it like a normal person would do. You might have a couple of small burns on your face. If you were more injured, I am sure you would realize it.
Q:External Hard Drive 500GB without needing power cable.?
I don't think there is such an animal. wdw
Q:Where do i connect this power cable of graphics card on my motherboard?
Yep, that looks like an S/PDIF audio cable. The other poster pretty much nailed the response so.....there ya have it. Its not necessary at all, its only if you want audio over the HDMI output which is good for connecting to a say a tv or surround sound reciever.
