Q:I purchased my husband a Flowmaster Force II Exhaust thinking it was the right fit for his truck He has an 07 Ford F150. I failed to notice that with the flowmaster i currently bought it was for 09 and up. My question to all you auto men/women Is there a way to modify this exhaust system without having to ship it back and Re order a different type? Is it an easy fix to fix onto the truck? HELPPPPP

the kit you bought has all the pipes prebent to fit the specific vehicle, if you take the truck to an exhaust shop they can bend new pipes to make the kit fit however that will cost more than sending the kit back and getting the correct one. so no there is no easy way to make it work

I‘m thinking about installing one but I heard if you don‘t have the right exhaust system you can damage your turbocharger and/or engine. True i imagine the engine is capable of taking the extra horsepower but the exhaust system might be to small and could damaged the catalytic converter but since you have a 05 gt i am sure it could take it

Q:I am toiling with the thought of buying a akrapovic bolt on exhaust for a Tw 125. Would this item make any difference to my bikes performance . They do look good but am i wasting my money on what will just essentially be a make up job?

If you are looking for a makeup job then yes its a waste of money. If you are looking for performance then its the only way to go. I have a full Akrapovic system on my R6, and of course I needed the power commander with it, and I have never once regreted it.

Q:I just replaced the exhaust system in my car, no upgrades just the same type of system, and have been experiencing problems ever since whenever the car is running but not moving. It jerks forward in pulses and I heard and felt the AC compressor shut off. Any ideas or thoughts as to what the problem is?

Sounds like the lower oxygen sensor might have been damaged by whoever removed and replaced it during exhaust repairs .

Q:I know certain states have exhaust restrictions and catalytic converter regulations. Would a performance exhaust system made by Ford pass inspection in Massachusetts?

If the exhaust system provides for all of the emissions equipment or substitutes to be used, then you should be able to pass the inspection in Massachusetts. This means converters and sensors must be able to work in such a way that the engine emissions are with in limits. So make sure that what ever parts you buy are not labeled for off road use only. Also I checked the Ford Performance site and did not see any exhaust systems for the F250 listed for street use, but Summit has some that should pass emissions testing.

Q:I currently have 2 holes in my exhaust system (1997 Ford Taurus with about 73,000 miles on it) and not the $750.00 it would cost to get them repaired (unemployed and desperately looking for work with little luck). I live in Illinois where we have to take emissions tests for our cars every few years. I‘m wondering, with these holes in the system am I gonna fail the test? Hoping for knowledgeable answers, thanks!

id bet that the test would come back with results that say something like dilution, due to the air that is mixing with the exhaust. living in CA, we see that occasional.
