Q:my system is apparently rotten form the end all the up to the catalytic converters, so would it be cheaper to get stock exhaust or aftermarket, any suggestions and if i buy a new system where does is start because the mechanic said i needed everything from the catalyitic converter back.it s a 1990
A aftermarket stainless steel cat back exhaust is what your car needs. Nissan Mufflers and mid pipes are to expensive even if you could find them. Like the term Cat back means the two exhaust flanges right below the drivers seat rearward.
Q:Best and loudest exhaust system for Ferrari 360?
No one will feel any joy by hearing it all people will feel is disgust for the idiot behind the wheel.
Q:Just wondering and how much does a lift kit coast for one 2?
Realistically, your not going to notice a big change in power when changing the exhaust. You might get a few extra horse power, but nothing very noticeable, except for a better sound. You didn't give a year, make or model but on the high dollar side of it, Borla exhaust sound really good. Or on the lower dollar side, I would check out Corsa and Magnaflow. A lot of people suggest Flowmaster, but beware, they have a terrible drone when cruising down the road. If you want to get the most out of your exhaust system, I would also add headers and a high flow cat. You can here any one of these exhausts on youtube, just type in your trucks make and model followed by the make of exhaust and you should get multiple videos to watch and listen. Here's a couple of links to get pricing.
Q:prior vehicle would pick up speed with a quickness, now that i install the flowmaster exhaust system. it doesnt pick up speed as quick. Is this normal? What could i do for it to pick up speed with a quickness?
No, it won't. It actually will help fuel economy, but just a little.
Q:If you already have the parts, how much does JUST the installation cost? And I don‘t want to hear oh its real simple to do yourself, just do these 50000 things I just want to know how much it costs to get it done. And where a good place is to get it done.
Exhaust System Installation Cost
Q:I have a 2005 mazda 3 S. I was gonna put a glasspack on but I‘m being told it‘s rediculously loud. My friend has a whole exhaust system and I think it sounds cool, but I don‘t have a ton of money to blow. I‘m thinking maybe under 300? Recommendations?
If your car is still under warranty changing the exhaust will void that warranty.
Q:I had the 850 checked by 2 people.1 mech. says that my flex pipe from the manifold to the exhaust pipe is defective thats why I‘m hearing the loud noise. stated I need to get it replaced.2nd mech says that I need to replace my manifold pipe that there is a hole in it. (What are the chances of getting a hole the manifold?) one solution is little less then $200 the other is quoating $450.00+. I really have to step on the pedal hard sometimes on hills to move forward. I know something is breached because i‘m loosing presure excelerating. What do you think?
im not a mechanic or anything but from my expierence it sound like you have an exhaust leak.
Q:My 2000 Volkswagen Passat has all kinds of nasty exhaust sounds, rust, and check engine lights going on. I was looking into replacing the left *half* that seems to be causing the trouble and I can get the pipes WITH catalytic converter that will just bolt into the muffler for like $320. My question is, would it be cheaper for me to just buy the cat. for $100 and have a local shop custom weld the rest? Or are custom muffler jobs pretty expensive?Thanks!P.S. if this is an ignorant question I apologize, I really don‘t know anything about exhaust systems.
1.Not generally, if weak. 2.Yes. 3. Yes, if 50% out of phase(otherwise the field will go through both overlapping holes).
Q:also what makes the gas milage change? is it the size/length of the pipe? and would there be any change in fuel economy if you only change the exhaust tip?please give me all the information you can, i‘d be greatful. Thanks
OKorder. you can find anything. even snot!!!!!!!!!!
Q:They will be for a 2008 HD Road King. I‘m not looking to shake windows in my neighborhoodjust something louder than stock. I‘ve been looking at Cobra slip on‘s.
This would take some experimentation on your part. But one thing you need to know is that its not the same as other soldering. So you're going to have to get a propane soldering kit. Like 20$ or less at Home Depot or Lowes. And also a wire brush, emory cloth, etc. But in attaching cooper to galvanized pipe, I would try looking for a compression fitting for going from that size of galvanized pipe to the copper pipe and not do any soldering. If the galvanized pipe has no threads, get a die to thread it.
