- Your understanding of Crane is correct. For purposes of calculating the gain on sale, the basis would be $100k. What Crane really said was that the net proceeds would have to include any assumed debt, in addition to any cash received -- basically that you had to include the debt on both ends of the transaction if my reading is correct. (That jives with the example in Commissioner v Tufts et al, 81-1356 so I think we're correct on that.) Where basis gets interesting is when you are calculating depreciation. At least when you convert a residential property to business use -- i.e. a rental -- you use the LESSER of the cost basis (Crane) or the FMV on the date that the property is placed in business(rental) service. In your example, the depreciable basis would be $80k since that was the lower. For calculating the gain on sale, the cost basis would still be $100k (adjusted down for any depreciation allowed or allowable while in business use of course).

The half-finished building that it stands next to is not being worked on and there's never anyone using the crane during the day. - wow. im helpful anybody tried it!! why : the recommendations co-ordinates the strikes of the finished physique. fairly the arms and the ft, so once you're turning your appropriate foot in clockwise path, with the help of drawing 6 jointly with your hand, that's an ANTI-CLOCKWISE circulate, the recommendations then makes the foot circulate anti-clockwise. Thats how suitable GOD made us!!

- it sounds like you want to run a gantry crane with a generator the generator should have a wire diagram in side the cover. the gantry crane should have the power requirements on the electric motor there should be a tag on the motor. If you are not sure then you need to get an electrician out there to look at the two components and should be able to get you straight
- Q:I've been making lots of paper cranes lately, thinking I would know exactly what to do with them. In reality, I'm a bit short on ideas... - Okay - so if you can't string them from the ceiling - than what I would do is buy some round vases/globes, from Pier one or some place like that, and fill them with paper cranes, then set the bowls on your shelves/windowsill/desk/table or other flat surface. I've enclosed some examples below. You can also make a mobile by hanging something like a super strength hook with adhesive. 3M makes them (the same folks who created scotch tape). The adhesive does not damage walls and you can stick them to anything. They can bear up to 30 pounds of weight. Put a few on your ceiling or walls and hang your mobiles from them.

- im the master of the crane game. You gotta scope out the animal first! If it looks heavy then dont even bother. Whenever you grab hold of something its gonna pull it up and shake when it hits the top right? Thats why you go for something close to the hole it drops in. They have one where I work so I lock the wheels, grab the animal and pull the whole machine forward so that it just falls in the hole lol.
