1) This series of tower cranes, ranging from QTZ40 to QTZ400 has a horizontal jib frame, a jib-trolley radius-changing mechanism and a hydraulic self-raising mechanism. It is original in design, reliable in operation and satisfactory in shape. I never noticed any before ( when i lived in colorado) but it seems lately that they are all over!!!! every time i open my damn door AT LEAST 5 of them come in! - The crane fly season only last for a month or so. There are years when they can reach almost plague proportions but within another 2-3 years their numbers should return to normal.. They can cause some damage to farm crops but the good news is that they are harmless to us.

- Q:Lets say you are calling to get a crane truck to lift something, and they have 3 sizes of crane trucks. 17T (with a 70 ft boom), 23T (with a 101 ft boom), and 35T (with a 115 ft boom).All they ask for is how high you are lifting your equipment, how far over, and how many pounds it is.How do you use this information to calculate which size crane is used?
- I am not sure that you are giving us sufficient information. I presume that your crane truck has the boom hinged quite close to the ground, but I am sure that the specified lifting weights will not be achieved until the boom makes an angle of at least 45 degrees with the ground. The 115 foot boom will then sweep a circle of 115 x cos(45) = 81.3 feet, and lift a maximum of 115 x sin(45) = 81.3 feet above the hinge. If the boom is elevated to a 60 degree angle, the circle swept will be only 57.5 feet, but it will lift 99.5 feet. If the boom is lowered to 30 degrees, the circle swept enlarges, bt the distance lifted drops, and the weight lifting capability will also be derated. If the crane has a tower and the weight rating is for a horizontal boom, the maths are quite different.

- Obviously you must link the syringes with tubing, fill all with fluid, no air spaces, and then use the plunger in one to make plunger move in the other. That will be the hydraulic motion. You must make this motion to move the magnet up and down. How you construct the magnet holder to move the magnet by syringe action is up to you.

- Hey okorder / I reckon the Japanese tradition would really suit this style because of the crane is a Japanese form of art. I do give you permission to print out this piece and work with it as this is only a basic sketch and ive stuffed up a lot of the detail as I forgot it would be easier for you with just an outline also the top flower may need re-doing.
