- Q:I just hung my tv on the wall and replaced the video and audio cables with an hdmi cable. Now the cable remote no longer controls the TV volume and I have to use the original TV remote to control volume. I have checked all the settings and I cannot figure it out. - The cable remote likely controlled the analog audio out on the box. It has no such control over digital out, which HDMI is. You need to re-program the remote to control the TV, including volume.

- For the Z2, there's not really a difference. The Z2 isn't an amplified headset, so the talkback cable doesn't need to have chat volume control on it.
- Q:I recently acquired a cable box along with the remote controller. I have cable and I have another legitimate cable box that was installed by the cable company. The one that the cable company installed looks to be identical to the one that I recently acquired in another way. The problem is that when I plug in the newest cable box I get no picture on the TV but I do get a msg that says ONE MOMENT PLSE THIS CHANNEL WILL BE AVAILABLE SHORTLY. What should I do to get this box to work with the functioning cable that I have on a separate TV?
- Cable boxes have to be authorized by your cable company. When you buy one from OKorder or wherever, they are stolen and will not work.

- Hello, You will need the cables for the engine,the Teleflex part number would be CC205xx,if it has a factory control box(OMC) or a CC172xx or CC230xx if using an aftermarket control box,the xx would be the length in feet.Your old control cables should have the length stamped on the cable.Hope this helped.

- Make sure your computer is set up to output sound through the HDMI cable, not the onboard soundcard. Control panel -Sound -Playback tab. Right-click the HDMI device and make it the default. See what that does for ya.
- Q:I replaced the traditional audio and video cables with an HDMI cable. The problem is that I can no longer control the volume using the cable remote, so I have to use the TV remote. Is there any way that I can control the volume using only the cable remote instead of having to use two remotes? If it helps, my TV is a Panasonic Viera and the cable box is a Motorola DCT3416. - you probably need to program your cable remote to your tv. the cable company usually give u a pamphlet of the codes and they usually program it for you but i would call them and see if u could get a code or get somebody out to your house
- Q:Alright so I'm not the best with technology, but I know I need some sort of adapter. I have a flatscreen samsung LN32A330J1DXA. It's definitely an older model, probably approximately 7 yrs old but I don't really know. I also have a BOSE companion 3 multimedia speaker system and sub woofer. problem is, there is no AUX cable outlet in the back of my flatscreen. The only way I can use my system is through AUX cable plugged into laptop or mp3/ipod. So what adapter do I need to have my TV hooked up to speakers and woofer?Thank you! -CP
- You need an RCA to 3.5mm cable. The TV might or might not have an analog stereo line out. It might or might not have a coaxial or optical digital audio. If it has only digital audio out, you need either an audio DAC, or upgrade to a real surround receiver and speakers.
- Q:I moved my computer from one house to another and after connecting everything, and calling the cable company to install the cable modem, I am unable to connect to the modem. The computer is a 5 year old Dell Dimension 4500 with Windows XP. I had Comcast before, but now I'm hooked up with Time Warner. They brought a new cable modem and I verified the modem works correctly on another computer. Also, after setting up the hard drive and monitor, etc whenever I turn on the computer, a black screen appears with the message Plug and Play Configuration Error with an option to press F1 or F2. Pressing F1 allows the computer to boot up normally. Could these two problems be related? Any help is greatly appreciated.
- If you are using a usb 2.0 port to connect your cable modem to the older pc usb 1.0 that may cause a problem. Check your device manager for Composite USB device, remove it and reinstall the modem driver. You may still have problems if composite usb device reinstall itself, it can be tricky to stop this from happening on an older pc. I would suggest getting an Ethernet adapter card ($20) and just using an Rj45 cat5 or 6 cable from your pc to the modem, it is much easier setup for an older computer. *Your network connections service might be disabled, you can turn it on in control paneladministrative Tools then double click the network connection service and start it, then check for your network connections icon. *rebooting your modem should provision a different mac address to your ISP. *If your network connections service is already started then your modem driver or Ethernet driver may not be installed properly, are they listed in your device manager
- Q:I have a plasma TV and have HD cables and HD box hooked up to it, but the problem is its so quite when watching cable. I have to turn the sound up to 75% just for it to be audiable. This doesnt happen with the other things hooked up to the TV ie: my game systems and DVD player. They blow me away with the sound just at 25 % so whats the deal. Is Timewarner horrible, or is it something with my TV?
- If you are using a cable box, make sure the volume on the box is turned up most of the way. So turn up the volume n the cable box, then your TV. There should be a setting in the box for allowing the volume to be controlled by your plasma instead of the cable box.
