Q:what exact plastic items do i recylce?
Pretty much any plastic. If it has a CRV or other redemption value on it definitely. If you are trying to receive $$ back than containers that bottle beverages are primarily the only ones you will get money for. But if you are recycling simply to help make a difference, there are plenty of plastics that are still recyclable. Doing both is the best way to go. They do normally discard the bottle caps though. Some companies that are to lazy to remove caps left on just discard the whole bottle, so make sure to take off as many caps as possible. Anything that contained hazardous material requires recycling at special locations (like motor oil)
Q:Plastic or Glass? Try to convince me!?
I only buy the small containers of Hellman's mayo. I've never noticed a difference. But then again, I don't eat the mayo off a spoon. It's mixed in coleslaw with other stronger flavors, or on a sandwich. I couldn't possibly detect a difference over the other stronger flavors I use it with. I would prefer glass for environmental reasons, but as long as the plastic is recyclable (still not the best option, environmentally speaking), and since I don't detect any difference in taste, I'm fine with the plastic. (I don't buy milk in plastic containers. I only buy organic. I don't believe I've ever seen organic milk in a plastic container.)

plastic is the name for a lot compounds so i will thell you the way for the one compound i know.it´s PVC(polyvinylchloride). it is made from acetylene. first acetylene is reduced to ethylene by hydrogenation. HC(triple bond)CH -----H2/Pd---> H2C=CH2 and then one hydrogen atom is substituted by chlorine to get PVC H2C=CH2 + Cl2 -----> --(HC-CHCl)-- (the result is polymerisation)

Bis Phenol A is found in a very wide variety of plastics.Products containing BPA have been in commerce for more than 50 years, and its current uses are numerous. It is used in the synthesis of polyesters, polysulfones, and polyether ketones, as an antioxidant in some plasticizers, and as a polymerization inhibitor in PVC. It is a key monomer in production of polycarbonate plastic and epoxy resins. Polycarbonate plastic, which is clear and nearly shatter-proof, is used to make a variety of common products including baby and water bottles, sports equipment, medical devices, optical lenses, CDs, and household electronics. Epoxy resins are used as coatings on the inside of almost all food and beverage cans. There are a lot of concerns about the health dangers of BPA. It appears that it is very difficult not to come in contact wit it in everyday activities.
Q:Remove Superglue from Plastic?
Sorry, you are out of luck. Superglue makes a strong chemical bond and actually will fuse plastics. What you are seeing is the case has melted a little and bonded to the caps. You cannot fix this problem to my knowledge. and I think that trying to sand the area will only make it worse. Superglue is pretty nasty stuff... use it sparingly!

i am assuming you mean from smoke as in cigarettes, which usually yellows because of nicotine and tabacco (like teeth will when you smoke). i would try bleach soack or vinegar soak.
