Q:I have to answer some questions about an except from Where I Lived, and What I Lived For by Henry Thoreau. I don't need an explanation for all the metaphors he uses and what they mean, but what is he talking about with the Pygmy thing? Do the pygmies battle the cranes because... they want to eat them? Are cranes just d!cks? Is a crane some type of weapon?

Q:My dad has some old tools and he is wondering if the company is still around, or what happened to it. A yahoo search revealed little.
Found on - www.lathes .uk/boicecrane/ Boice-Crane - USA Boice-Crane (Wilton Division) made various types of power tools, including a selection of wood lathes intended for amateur and educational use, and in the 1940s and early 1950 their range included, amongst others, the two amateur and one professional or educational machines illustrated below. The more robust lathe of the amateur pair had a 50 inch long bed with 10 swing and able to take 34 between centres; the 4-step V pulley in the headstock could be driven from either from the rear, or underneath. The bed, which had a gap able to swing 14, was internally ribbed and machined on its top surface. The No. 1 Morse taper tailstock was fitted with self eject for the centre. The double-ended spindle was 1.25 inches in diameter and ran on ball bearings - whilst the single faceplate contained two different diameter, left and right-hand threads so that it could be screwed onto either end. The lathe weighed 115 lbs, so, despite an insubstantial appearance, must have been a reasonably robust machine. The other bench lathe had a bed built from two steel channel sections - with the most elementary type of headstock and tailstock. The capacity was 10 x 30, the weight 30 lbs and the headstock spindle carried a 4-step, overhung, V-belt pulley. The company are now: Gothenburg Manufacturing Co., P.O. Q:What do you do after you made 1000 paper cranes. I know you string them up, but storing them is hard. Do you ceremoniously burn them or what? When can they be gone? This is the missing link in the story I want to know. I have 846 and I want to know what to do after I'm done.

Q:What is the wall radius of a qtz50 tower crane?
The working radius is usually 50 meters. There are also 48, 49 meters. For example, 4810, 4910, and 5010, belong to 50 tons of tower cranes.Qtz50 resolves to:Q: crane;T: Tower type;Z: Jack up;50: lifting torque of 50 tons meters.
Q:Why is there as much evidence of Icabod Crane, as there is of god??
Both tend to be works of fiction. As fictional characters go, Icabod Crane was far more likeable, and never coerced, threatened, maimed, tortured, or killed anybody. For that reason, I prefer Crane any day.
Q:What is the free height of a tower crane?
The free height of tower crane is different according to the size of tower crane.
Q:Who is it? And when in the book do they say who it is?Thank you so much! :D
was the head games maker in the first book or the 74th annual, now it's plutarch
Q:i have a 100 ton american crawler crane. how do i calculate the psf, for this equipment.
Not sure what you are asking exactly... Are you saying that you have a crane with a capacity of 100 tons and you want to know the pressure on the soil where the crane is positioned? In this case, you take the capacity (in pounds) plus the weight of the crane (in pounds) then divide their sum by the area of the tracks on the crane (in square feet). This will result in pounds per square foot or psf as you wrote above. These are example estimates, they may not be anywhere near the correct answer, this is simply how to do the calculation. Assumed Capacity 100 ton = 200,000 lbs. Assumed Weight 105 ton = 210,000 lbs. Assumed Area of Track = 200 square feet Note: 1 U.S. ton = 2,000 pounds = 2,000 lbs. 410,000 lbs / 200 square feet = 2,050 psf There's a start, now you just need to find out how much it actually weighs and how long and wide the tracks are to get the area of the track on the ground. I hope that answers the question you were asking.
Q:vehicle's like car's,truck's etc.need's paper's or document's for regestration or license to used it.what if i mounted or install a crane on it,do i need some paper's or document for regestration or license for the crane?
Mounting a crane on your truck wont need any documents. Operating the crane you mounted is a different story. You need to have a number 8 on your license restriction code. For the modification of your truck by mounting the crane, you need to have it inspected and approved by the authorised agency for safety reasons also. Please be advised that your plan may cause some serious physical injury to yourself and others as well..
Q:I watched a man climb one once and he wasn't secured. Crazy. How much do they get?If there are any operators on here, do you get scared when you climb up/down?
1. No need to be secured, the ladder inside the crane tower has many platforms. It's actually a heap of ladders and platforms not a single ladder. Usually the ladder is surrounded by a cage that would catch you if you fell. Once at the top there are handrails everywhere, you just make your way to the cabin. 2. Average here in Australia is about 1500 to 2000 non union and 2500 to 3000 union. 3. Not worried climbing but if there is a thunderstorm and you are in the cabin it can be scary 4. You shouldn't climb the crane when it's rainy as its all steel it is slippery if wet but sometimes it cannot be helped. You should wear non slip boots too
