1.What is tower crane?
Tower crane is a modern form of balance crane that consist of the same basic parts. Fixed to the ground on a concrete foundation (and sometimes attached to the sides of structures as well), tower cranes often give the best combination of height and lifting capacity and are used in the construction site.
2. What is the meaning of the tower crane’s code?
Take Tower Crane TC5516 for example, the first two letters “TC” means Tower Crane, “55”means jib length is 55 meter, and the last two letter “16” means the tip load is :1.6 ton.
3. What is the principal to quote the right tower crane to the client?

V twin doc showed me how to do that. But it still doesnt quite run proper. So here are the settings:Its set at 5900 R.P.M. limit,with advance slope at 9.the rear cylinder is set at 0.Its set on dual fire,its set on electric start.and its set on multi spark not single.Its a crane fireball hi 4e model 8-3100. It cranks for a bit before starting and runs a little rough at low R.P.M. ran just fine with the stock coil.
- I don't know how much this is gonna help, but on my Ironhead I use a 8-2100, set at 1degree BTDC, and rear at 2 BTDC and electric start in race mode. Now I have aggressive cams and I don't know how it's supposed to be for a stock single stick.

- 6T/8T refers to the maximum lifting capacity of a tower crane. It doesn't matter what 10-5-20 has to do with it. Maybe your list of numbers is serial number.

- One crane is lifting the beam twice as fast as the other. The amount of energy required (work done, in Joules) to lift a mass m through a distance h against gravitational acceleration g is simply W=mgh. But power is the -rate- at which energy is used (or work is done in Joules/sec). So a crane that is twice as powerful should be raising the beam twice as quickly. Doug
- Q:It affects my day to day life, especially in the summer, having to cope with crane flies, wasps and moths getting into my house, so I usually just pretty much keep myself in my room, door closed, windows closed to prevent any from getting into my room. If I happen to be near any of these insects I tend to have a panic attack and can't handle it. I have no reason for my fear, I am just afraid of them for no reason. - Q:I have a vessel 40 feet off the ground in a platform, and the crane can get to within 30 feet of it (from the side). I'm more curious of the process for sizing them though.
- All cranes have a lifting capacity that is based on the angle of the boom. The more vertical the boom, the more it can lift. With that in mind you select a crane based on the amount of weight being lifted and the angle the boom will have to have to reach the load. In some cases extra counter weights can be added to some crane to increase their lifting capacity. You should be using a contractor to supply the crane and the knowledge to provide the proper equipment and do the actual work safely.
