Have you interviewed any Brokers? If not, then I suggest you start there since you have to hang your real estate license with a Broker. When you interview a Broker, keep in mind that you want to know what they can do for you, not what you can do for them. You have to sell yourself as you are not an employee of the Broker you are an independent contractor. If you have chosen a Broker, find out if they have any programs,coaching or mentor program so that you are not out there on your own. Ask if they have any seasoned agents that are willing to take a new agent under their wings. You might also want to join a team as an assistant to an agent so you can learn the ropes. If you have not generated any leads yet you better get going with that. If you don't know how, ask your Broker or other agents what they did. Most agents with give you brief idea of where to start. You always need Buyers and Sellers in your pipeline in order to be successful. Congratulations and enjoy yourself......

So in other words you just want to live out your dream but not do any work related to the real estate industry. Yeah no there aren't any jobs that fit your description. I would have said real estate assistant but that requires answering the phone, dropping off and picking up keys, dealing with the website, contracts (IF licensed), etc. But no one will hire an assistant who won't answer phones and do data entry. You made it clear you don't want to be a real estate agent either. You can't work as a conveyancer because you don't want to do data entry and answer phones. Really, it's a fun idea but since you're unwilling to do anything related to the industry (our business is 80% dealing with people, even as assistants, conveyancers, etc), it kind of means you can't get any jobs in it.
Q:i don't want to give up the job i have..i wanted to do real estate part time to have some extra money..is that a good idea?
I tried it, but it doesn't seem to work. You sit around a real estate office, but you can't do it full time, so you don't get customers that want to trust you. It's no good for part time income. I still am licensed, I don't know why I keep renewing my license...but I don't sell houses...maybe I'll use my license to get a break for my personal purchase or sale, or friends and relatives. Again, it's not the kind of business you can expect to make money part time with...but not to discourage you, ask around, who knows, there may be some kind of property management jobs requiring a real estate licensed person to run.

Krissy, real estate is like any other job. The owner/seller of the home calls a real estate agent and asks the agent to list/sell their home. Some agents do buy the home they are listing.... ours did.

Real Estate courses are not expensive. I have never heard of a school that provides financial aid.

real estate agents make money when someone buys or sells a property. It does not matter if the owner of the property is making money the agent would still get a commission. Every agent I have ever met does not get a salary. They only get a percentage. It is pretty much like they are running a small business. So median has no meaning in real estate any more than the median amount a small business owner would make in the first year. Often an agent might actually lose money for a while. They would be spending money of education, licensing, supplies, clothes, larger car, computer and other things even before they make their first sale.
