Q:what can go wrong in plastic surgery?
A few years ago I went to a famous plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills thinking that I had found the best doctor out there for liposuction from all their advertising. Little did I know that they ran their business like a factory. The doctor barely saw me after the surgery. I was left with dents and fat pockets that were uneven and could be seen even when I wore clothes. I had been searching for almost a year when I came across Dr. Cat Begovic. She studied at Harvard and UCLA and I had seen her work with revision liposuction and I was amazed. She has done hundreds of lipo revisions from doctors even working in the same building as her! I was so glad to know that I wasn't the only one who had been botched. I was so nervous about getting another surgery because of how poorly the last one had gone. SHE WAS AMAZING. She fixed my thighs, my belly and my back. I had never felt more confident -- I was happier than I was before I had my first surgery. She really helped me not only with the way I looked but the way I felt. She was so kind, understanding, and was able to empathize from a woman's perspective. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU GET ANY WORK DONE. Good marketing does not make for a good doctor. I highly recommend Her work is incredible and its amazing to have found a female plastic surgeon who is double board certified.
Q:What to do with my BPA plastic?
I believe that the health issues related to BPA are when you have food or drinks in contact with the plastic. As long as you're not using it for food, you could find some other use for it, such as using it for a non-edible plant. Other than repurposing it, there's not much else you can do, as it's not likely to be recyclable. Unfortunately, the landfill is the only option.
Q:How is plastic made and how does it stay soft? ?
Plastics that we use today all are polymers (i.e. obtained from polymerization of simplest alkene: ethylene) n(CH2=CH2) ------------------------> -(-CH2-CH2-)-n ethylene polyethylene Properties of polyethylene = tough and durable They can easily be soften on heating and can easily remould (recycled) because they are thermoplastic polymers.
Q:Hair Straighteners Plastic?
un-plug it first. let it cool. then take a cloth with water and a bit of soap and wipe it over the straightener. Then rinse the cloth so it just has water and wipe it over the straightener to get the soap off. Then get a dry towel and wipe it. Good as new. You've sure got some nice friends :] jk.
Q:plastic vs glass beakers?
glass beakers don't conduct heat whereas plastic beakers would melt when heated (that's a big difference-heating is extremely important in chemistry labs). glass probably breaks easier than plastic. glass might be to a degree clearer than plastic/easier to see through. plastic may react with certain substances whereas glass is unreactive.
Q:How bright is the future of the plastic surgery?
a good, well respected one, yes definately.
Q:Plastic shrapnel versus metallic/glass?
Plastic won't have the range of metallic shrapnel, nor will it have the penetration capabilities. As far as glass goes, I wouldn't it except in foodstuffs/water (yes, if you're gonna talk about IEDs, might as well talk of sabotaging someone's dinner, too). I would use plastics unless there was a risk of my target using a metal detector.
Q:what glue holds plastic together best?
There are many types of plastic - some melt with heat, some burn (not at hot melt glue temps) Some are welded with solvents and some shed solvents Although it doesn't work on all plastics, GOOP Craft is a clear silicone adhesive that sets hard and can be used as a soft squishy glue that must be supported while it sets or can be used as a contact cement - pull it apart, hold about 10-15 seconds, replace and you can't easily move it. If it doesn't work, you can peel it off.
Q:can you live plastic free?
Why would I want to? Plastic is not evil, it is an inanimate object. It is the wasteful practice of creating disposable products which is doing the harm. Plastic does not choose to be thrown in the trash rather than recycled. A reused bag made of cloth has the same effect on the environment as a reused bag made of plastic, it is only the disposal that has a detrimental effect.
Q:which bottles are better glass or plastic?
I don't think any plastic bottles are being recalled. What you may be referring to is BPA, and a lot of plastic bottles contained it. Now, most bottle companies are coming out with a BPA free version and taking the old ones off the shelves. I wouldn't buy glass ones, they are breakable and dangerous. I would buy BPA free plastic ones.
