Q:I'm curious as to what education or courses are needed to obtain your real estate license in California. I am only 18 years old and am attending community college at the moment. However, I don't want real estate to be my main focus career wise. Hoping the license can be a secondary thing on the side.Any information would be helpful. Hopefully what courses or classes!
You have to take certain basic Real Estate courses which are offered in some community colleges or you can take quickie prep courses at Anthony Schools which gets you to pass the state exam without in-depth understanding. Then you get a conditional sales license and have 4 years to complete two more classes and then you get a RE sales license. You put your license with a real estate broker. You then have to find leads and make contacts to get listings. The core course is Real Estate Principles.
Q:I'm a recent college grad and I've become very interested in a career in real estate. My question, however, is how exactly to begin? I majored in psychology (as opposed to the conventional business, finance, or accounting) and currently do not have experience in real estate (no internships). Which positions and formal training should I pursue?I have recently thought about appraising or property management, though I'm wondering if these would be a great start for my career. Also, should I focus on pursuing a master's degree within the next few years? Thanks!
there is real estate agent under every rock you turn over. it takes about as much training as barber, maybe train in real estate law. ,, that would be better also property management. . tons of money to be made in real estate even in this lousy market. but not as an agent selling houses.
Q:So my boyfriend and I are looking at a potential house nearby so we can be homeowners. He works for a contractor that remodels houses and I, on the other hand, am currently working nearly full time as a waitress. I heard some real estate companies won't sell a house to someone who works as a server/bartender. Is this true? Or does that depend on the company?SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!! NO RUDE RESPONSES!!
Never heard of that. Don't see why they would care. The only issue with that job is the limited income and getting any accurate proof of your tips.
Q:ive taken basic real estate classes in college. now im looking to further my education in the real estate through more/other college classes. i would love to eventually own my own business successfully flipping houses. what classes could i take to help myself gain more knowledge in this field? i was thinking about a business degree, but thought that i might ask some experts before i make a decision. thanks and have a good day!
depending on where you live, some colleges do not offer real estate courses. in most cases, you have to be state certified to work as a real estate salesperson. search real estate businesses and courses in your local area, then also look for your local government on the web. they should have an area of where and which schools are state certified to teach real estate. Sometimes they offer their courses online, for a fraction of the cost, as to actually attending a class room setting. Its really not that expensive. Actually, its a lot cheaper then attending a 'college'. Hope this helps!! Good luck.
Q:with hopes of getting into the real estate investment field, what type of real estate class(es) would be best for me? i'm talking about the type of real estate classes offered at the typical community college (classes ranging from real estate principles to escrow).i will eventually try for a real estates license, but for now, i'd like to take one or two courses that will give me the most and best information on how to work in the real estate investment field.
Real Estate Law will be your best course. After that, depending on what type of investing a Land Use Planning course would also be beneficial. Principles is pretty much a prerequisite to a license in most states or if not, to your first license renewal. Once licensed, a definite must take class would be short sales and foreclosures, which many title companies offer for a nominal fee to licensed agents. Also 1031 tax exchange. You can google YourState Department of Real Estate Licensing to find your state's licensing requirements.
Q:what is a real estate developer and is a real estate developer thesame thing as a real estate investor and if there are not the same thing than who normally makes more money in a more normal economy.then my number two question is what is the difference betweena real estate holding company and a real estate development company?
a person or company who buy or option land for the purpose of rezoning, improving, planning, financing and building real estate product with the intention of making a profit is a developer. A real estate investor could be the above entity if they opted to retain in their portfolio the above product. Also, a real estate investor could be one who buys finished product which is leased on a long-term or semi-long-term basis, looking for both a return on cash and a return on investment (which anticipates debt-service, depreciation, management, etc.) A real estate holding company purchases leased investments, sometimes manages them and parcels out ownership interests similar to a mutual fund. The development company was first explained above. Each make a lot of money, but the developer takes the most risk, subject to the vagaries of the market, and vacancies.
Q:Im 19 going on 20 and live in polk county florida and I would love to get my real estate licence. Its been my dream but I'm not sure how to start. All of the schools for real estate are out of town, like Orlando or Tampa. That's like a hour away. So I was thinking online classes. What online school would be best?
Quick learning school owner is thirty year experience of online real estate and insurance training California. We offered Real estate training course California of affordable fees.
Q:Real Estate agent, appraisal, and broker? because I want to get my license in CT does that license make you all three are the the same or are there different licenses for each?
an agent works for a broker. an appraiser is someone who comes to appraise your house, and a broker was once an agent, but has gone through more classes and has sold more houses in a year to become a broker. brokers make the most money. though being an appraiser is pretty neat because there are only a few of them out there.
Q:I want to become a Real Estate Agent in the State of New York. Can I do online courses to become certified ?? It's too hard to go to classes still having young kids a baby. BTW, is a "Realtor" the same as "Real Estate Agent" ? Does the online courses make it harder/longer to complete than *in* classroom ? Any info you got, Thank you !!!
I cant comment on real estate courses, but I have obtained a degree online. I received a degree in business online. There was no set time frame to complete it in. The website said you do it at your own pace, in your own time. I completed it after 12 months. I was also able to contact teachers via phone through email sometimes they had lectures where all the students could log on with webcam i found it easier than classroom because there were no distractions and I could focus. I ended up getting a distinction, too. and found work 3 months after completion
Q:ok so im was wondering how does a real estate agent get assigned a house to sell?i was thinking do they buy the house? or is it first come first serves
The owner of the house gets a real estate agent to list a house for them, agent advertises and shows the house to prospective buyers for the owner, then the agent receives a commission on and if the house sells. Agents don't have to buy the house. Agents are kind of like salesmen they try to get people to use them to sell their homes. Also you can get a agent to find you a house and in our state that doesn't cost you a thing. The commission comes from the agent who has the house listed. They give the buying agent part of the sell agents commission. Hope I didn't confuse you.
