The answer is yes. It will get you skinny, but you will build up a tolerance and need to take more and more risking addiction, which will eventually make you lose your teeth, looks, freedom (jail) and risking overdose (death).

In theory by adding a valve to the system you may have added a small extra length to your system. That could cause a very, very small change in the flow rate from what you might have without the valve. Having said that, you shouldn't see a flow rate change that you can detect. In any system when you make a change you have to look at pipe length, diameter, added pressure drop from things like valves and fittings. You have to be careful about valves because many are not full port valves. The type of valve can also be a consideration. The pressure drop in a full size globe valve even if it is fully open is much greater than a ball valve fully open. You also have to look at the pressure source. What happens to the pressure source when there is a change in flow rate or what happens to the flow rate when there is a change in the pressure source.

Q:This is a heat lamp used in a room where small animals are kept. The sheet metal I'm talking about is located directly above the heating bulb. It reaches quite hot temps. the side is broken off it. i need a high temp glue of some sort to glue it back on. it must be able to not only withstand temps that would normally scorch or melt rubber, but also withstand them without putting out any kind o vapor or fume. there are small animals in this room, so any fumes or vapors could be harmful and must be avoided.

Q:I was recently in a car accident in which I swerved to avoid a rabbit and ended up on the side of the road hitting a fire hydrant. Nobody was injured and no property other then my own was harmed, but the police are citing me with “criminal negligence saying that i was doing a “brake stand”. The pump they supplied for the boiler loop will be sufficient for most applications, but the building loop pump will have to be calculated. They are two separate systems even though they are connected together with a Decoupler loop. You convert all the fittings to equivalent length of pipe, and then add that number to the actual length of pipe in the system. This is used to find the resistance to flow in the system. In some cases, where the pump is almost large enough, the diameter of the pipe and fittings can be increased a size to reduce the friction losses. Call the manufacture for Tech support if possible.

Q:Ive been bowling with a plastic ball for about 2 years. Im trying to step my game up a little bit and put hook on the ball. My local bolwing alley owner says I should get a urethane ball, but there are so few to choose from. I was wondering if a low hook potential resin ball would still be ok. They (plumbing fitting foundrys) make an adapter fitting that is designed for exactly this purpose. If the length of PVC pipe is between two pieces of cast you'll need two (one for each end). The fitting will go together with no-hub bands (very common when working with cast iron) so youll need one of those for each adapter also. horizontal or vertical will not matter. Measure the gap after removal of the old pieces/parts and subtract the 'make up of the fittings (the length of the adapters less the hub for each or just the one adapter however the case may be) also good idea to cut PVC pipe a bit short maybe 3/8 easier to fit it back in. and assemble the fittings to the PVC pipe with primer (purple is better) and PVC cement (gold label, not yellow or red) the no hub bands have a rubber and a metal part. Best to slide the no-hub bands on the cast and slide the metal part on and past the no hub band, so the metal is out of the way. Then fold the rubber back on its self then slide the PVC in and fold the rubber down on to the adapters. Then slide the metal into place and tighten the clamps. (the metal can be opened up all the way by lOosening the clamps completely and fitting the metal over after the rubber is in place- this is usually a good idea for the top joint because the metal can be frustrating falling down in the way while attempting to fold the rubber back over the adapter)

An apple is a good one.. another would be to dig around in the steel fittings at the local hardware store and find some that can thread together. Clean plain steel is pretty safe, as should be stainless steel. Stay away from aluminum or nickel plate if you're worried about toxins. I can't speak on the toxicity of copper but I know that it has a low melting point in comparison to steel or stainless steel. If you have a drill press, you can take a clean section of 1 dowel (or whatever size you choose, could substitute a dry alder, poplar, or fir branch for that matter) and drill the center out with like a 1/4 drill bit and then drill a bowl out of the side, connecting that hole with the hole you drilled through the center of the dowel. I've used all of the above; just be creative. Apples make a fine disposable pipe and an apple is a better food choice than most if you get the munchies.

I am a plumber and you do not want to use an all cpvc adaptor you are asking for trouble they will certainly leak. plus it is better to use thread sealent paste rather than the tape this is because the tape has a habit of coming undone when screwing the pipe together. If you mess up and put the tape on in the wrong direction you have to take it off and start over with the paste you don;t you get it right everytime. The second link is a picture of the type of fitting you will need. The first is to explain why you need a cpvc to metal adaptor not just cpvc adaptor. For a plastic-to-steel pipe transition (Fig. 3), you'll need a male adapter that will secure the plastic unthreaded pipe to the female-threaded steel pipe fitting. This adapter has a glueable hub on one end to accept the plastic pipe, and brass male pipe threads on the other end to screw into the galvanized fitting. For plastic pipe (CPVC), do not use the all-plastic adapters to screw onto the metal pipe, for these may leak. Although the CPVC fittings with brass at the threaded section are more expensive, they are definitely worth it.

Why not go for contacts? They are fine for contact sports and get roudn this problem. Also your peripheral vision and depth perception will be better which will improve your sport.
