Q:Water pump for trough, size? type?
A 12 volt water feature pump from a garden center would do the job. Four litres a minute with a shower head on the end going into the trough should give the aeration you need. The head off a plastic watering can would also do.
Q:Will an F150 water pump work on an F100?
No it won't mess up the engine as long as there are aren't any leaks meaning a new gasket is used, the belt is adjusted correctly and is aligned, and the thermostat is replaced using the correct temperature item. Any good parts store employee can sell you the correct thermostat.
Q:Thermostat or water pump problem?
first check the gauge and the sensor are working properly
Q:Is this noise from my water pump?
wiggle the fan blades and if they move any it is a bad water pump, they will also leak a little bit under the main shaft of the water pump housing, there is a hole on the bottom and top just for this reason, the metal squealing is the impeller in the water pump, it wont last long now I agree....assuming you did put enough coolant back in it after changing the radiator.
Q:m azda mx6 it overheats after I drive 20 minutes, I think I need a thermostat and my water pump changed?
First check the water pump for leaks and wiggle the shaft to check for bearing wear. If either is present replace the pump along with the thermostat. If not only replace the thermostat. If the radiator is boiling over after a short drive, the thermostat needs replacing.
Q:Can someone recommend a small water pump?
Sounds like you're in quite a predicament there.
Q:Water pump replacement.?
Are you forgetting to mention something? Ah! Year, Make and Model. Engine size is a plus ... only a fool who knows nothing will answer your question without knowing the at least needed to know information ... What do you mean: if my water pump is clearly on the serpentine belt I t need to replace the timing chain to get to it correct? You've said: Timing chain and yet, the first answer by You may be right said: If you can change the pump without removing the timing belt then go for it, you are lucky. See what has happened when the needed to know information were not specified? .. and how do you expect any of us to know the question you have mentioned before and could not read your history in YA? I've rest my case ...
Q:How to change a water pump on a 1991 Mercury Topaz?
The post above me is right on just take your time and make the bolts tight but don't over do it . Flush out before install of new pump. good luck
Q:is it safe to drive 1.3 mile (no hill) with dead water pump?
alright- you have a lot of things going on here. you have an older model vehicle with what sounds like a couple of issues. your best bet is to have the vehicle towed. letting your vehicle overheat is it not a good thing - can ruin your engine. Best not to risk it even tho 1.3 miles is nothing really. if you feel the shop is at fault. And it's a ford retailer - contact the fort corporate offices and file a complaint and ask for good will for the repair and see what happens. Couldn't hurt to ask. Take care and good luck.
Q:How hard is it to replace a water pump?
The first answer gave good advice. On older cars replacing a water pump was easy. You loosened the fan belt, removed it and removed the pump with the fan blades. Now nearly all autos have air conditioning and there is not enough room without removing some of the items associated with it. I have on occasion even had to remove the radiator before air became popular. Shop around for an independent mechanic or a small shop. The job will be more than you want to try probably. Good luck.
