- Wood floor works well, but I don't recommend practicing jumps on it unless the floor has been sprung.

- If it's a hardwood floor, I've been told by flooring specialists that you can leave little puddle of water on the dented spot for a couple of days and it will cause the wood to swell back out, removing the dent. Just cover it with an upside down plastic bowl or something to keep from stepping in it. I tried this once with a hardwood floor (maple) and it took some of the dent up. Otherwise, you're looking at refinishing the floor (hardwood) or replacing a section of laminate.
