you mean crankset. well the best would be to buy a book on bicycle repair maintenance such as from rodale press( bicycling magazine). or bike repairs for dummies. go to youtube search crankset removal and bb removal for vidz. you'll need the correct tools to do it also so why not go to local bike shop and ask them for a demo and what tools are required for your bike. buy the tools and parts from your LBS (local bike shop). tools like ratchet, socket, breaker bar you can get from anywhere such as walmart, sears, hardware store.

Q:Are loose brackets normal? I had a loose bracket and got it fixed today. They said not to fiddle with it or anything, but when I eat, my tooth bites down on the bracket, causing it to shift downwards.What am I to do? If I try to not hit the bracket when eating, i won't be able to chew properly.

I know you were just at the office today, but I would call them and tell them that when you chew, you are hitting the bracket and you don't want it to come loose again. They may have you go in so they can adjust it, or they may tell you that you need to get used to it. Either way, if it does come loose again, you will have mentioned it to them.

Q:I got elastics 3 weeks ago. They are class lll. Just a few minutes ago while wearing them I heard a crack and knew a bracket broke. One of my orthidontists office (the closest to me) is open Mondays and Tuesday s only and today is Sunday. The bracket that broke is my lower canine with the bracket that has a hook. ok so! first off u might of been wearing the elastic hooked onto ur bracket instead of the actual hook around ur brace. this is like most likely the reason why it broke and if it broke because it was just too much pressure on ur hook THIS IS NOT UR FAULT!!!!! ur oath obviously made a mistake then and ur dad shouldn't be mad!!!! i broke 3 brackets in my life (not cuz I'm careless but cuz it happens) and i have a fine of 50 dollars for them!!! my mom was upset but understanding. she told me to be more careful so ya don't be scared tell him its not ur fault! most kids song even wear there elastics so ur doing a good job!!! also it won't delay ur whole braces treatment thing by a lot cuz ur gonna have braces for like 2-3 years most likely and a couple days won't rly make a difference just try to fix it asap and u should def call for an appointement before the 27th but if u rly rly rly can't ur oath right be upset and its just rly unpleasant to have a hanging thing in ur mouth. All in all i recommend u tell ur dad because u ar going to make him and the ortho and urself even more annoyed if u wait that long! good luck!!!!

Q:for the fourth time my back bracket fell off and the wire is hanging out. It's not poking me or anything so it isn't an emergency. I am unable to go to my orthodontist 'till thursday. Q:i don't like to because i feel that it ruins the tournament.My reasoning is because if u want to WIN (your bracket) then usually you go with the higher seeds and i LOVE rooting for the underdogs.I LOVE college basketball and i think its second only to MLB in terms of sports but i think filling out brackets are stupid because half of you is rooting for the underdog and the other half is rooting for your bracket. i went to a small, private college (D-3) so i don't have any particular feelings for any of the teams (although i love rooting against the UNCs and Dukes of the world)agree/disagree with me, why?

I agree. In my case, I root for my bracket until I know I don't have a shot, which this year, came in the Georgia game (first game of the tournament), and then I start rooting for the underdog. I'm not a D-3er, but I'm close in University of Houston (let's face it, if my cougs were going to make it, it would have been this year, sucks being in a mid-major that is going to be dominated by one school for eternity!) the only big school I have allegiance to is Texas, just always been a fan. Thank God preseason's over!

depends what you are putting on them, the heavier the items then the closer to the middle is best, light items could be held at either end, you haven't stated the materials the shelves are constructed from but as a general rule I'd mount the brackets about a foot in from either end to give good medium range.

Q:If a bracket is partially attached to your tooth by the glue but it can be like lifted up off of your tooth, it's loose, right? So if it's broken, does that mean that it's completely off your tooth? Or that it actually like broke in half?

it in a sense is broken because if it were attached it wouldnt be loose and why run around with something loose. if you head is loose from your head does your brain work? no because your head is broken off your body.

It's pretty rare for an orthodontist to charge for broken brackets unless it becomes a habitual problem. They can recondition the bracket and rebond in most cases. If not, they can place a new bracket. It depends on the condition of the bracket. It's not always an instance of eating something forbidden to knock one off. It can also be do to how you occlude (bite touches). It's definitely not the end of the world so don't fret. It will all be ok. It is good that you are concerned for your part in your treatment and trying to save absorbent costs for your parents. It shows a lot of maturity and responsibility.
