Q:The difference between high voltage overhead cables and high voltage cables
Clean the copper wire to be welded, and dip a little solder paste or rosin before welding.
Q:I've lost my Advent AW10 printer power cable whilst moving home and haven't used my printer in a while. I need a new power cable but was just wondering what cable would be compatible or where to get another one from for cheap. Thanks.
If there is extremely some complicated pics and colorations then definite it is achieveable. The shopkeeper from Curry's had pronounced it prints as much as 250 pages consistent with cartridge notice what he pronounced *as much as* 250 pages.
Q:My car's stock stereo is pretty low power, probably less than 20 watts. I would like to replace the power wires with better ones, if not for any real benefit to sound quality then simply to satisfy a personal whim. 8 gauge wires would be too I think for the small spaces. Anyway, would a good quality speaker wire work just a good as a power wire of the same gauge?
NO! they are called speaker wires because they are light. Power wires are called Power wires because they are heavier.
Q:I don't want to run it under the car, but I can't find a place to run it through the firewall... Do I need to drill a hole?
I think you need to look at what ever is going through the fire wall first. often you will find things like speedo cables and other cables that go through it using a grommet, if they is a 8mm plus one used you could puch your power cable through the same grommet, this will save the drilling but if you do have to drill use a grommet to seal the hole, it costs only cents.
Q:I've got a 1967 Sears-Kenmore sewing machine with a power cable that a cat chewed through (previous owner). The damage is near the end of the cable and the copper wires are showing. I shopped around and found a replacement pedal/powersupply but I really like the antique pedal I have with it. Thank you in advance.
If it's near the plug end, the one that goes into the wall, it's easy. You can buy a replacement plug, cut off the old one and wire on the new one. Wire strippers would be handy but you could strip the wires with a carefully used sharp utility knife, and you will need a screwdriver to deal with the plug itself. If it's very close to the foot pedal end or the machine plug side, that might be a bit harder, depending how much wire there is between the damaged cable and the pedal or plug. You could cut away the damaged portion, splice the wires with wire nuts, cover firmly with electrical tape and be done. If there isn't room to do that, you might have to take the foot pedal apart and re-attach the wires from the rest of the cable. Shouldn't be that hard to do. Just note where the wires went inside the foot pedal.
Q:I have been doing research online and have found replacement power cables from Kimber, Nordost, PS Audio, Cardas, Monster and Audioquest. While Kimber did win an award in Audiophile magazine, the write up for PS Audio's SC statement cable appears to be very good as well. Nordost makes a great product too, but have read some complaints that it actually cheats the bass. So I am basically looking to see if anyone owns any of the replacement cables from these companies or what they could recommend as a good replacement power cord.
For many years there has been a debate within the audiophile community whether power cables influenced the sound of components. Someone finally performed a double-blind study. The only reasonable solution for such a debate. A power cord made no discernable difference in sound. Choose your power cord replacement on appearance (It’s nothing more than decoration.) I have some purty Audioquest interconnects and speaker cables.
Q:im selling just the brick power cable. Is 50 dollars a good price?
It seems like a bit much, I would go more for $20, considering the fact that it's only a power cable, not even a controller, and that it's not new. Hope this helped
Q:nan
Not necessarily because punching power is basically genetic or in-born. It will help for sure but it's not an assurance of you acquiring instant knockout power.

I've had a similar thing happen with my 17 GEM monitor. Eventually, I relocated the monitor and redid all the wiring and the flickering ultimately stopped. I'd wager it's a wire issue.
