Q:We have AT U-verse and we lost power during a storm. The picture returned and sound through the tv speakers but our surround sound did not. We have an Onkyo receiver along with the U-Verse cable box but nothing was changed.Any ideas?
How is your Onkyo receiver hooked up? Chances are your Onkyo was reset to factory and you have to choose the input from your TV/Uverse. box. Or your TV got reset and is not sending audio out the optical cable to your receiver. Same problem but with the UVerse box.
Q:I just bought an electric guitar and an Ibanez Ibz10g 10 watt amplifier. I read the reviews for the amp and someone said it only comes with the power cable.1. Is this true?2. If so will I be able to play with just a power cable or do I have to buy other cables separately? This is probably a stupid question but I seriously have no idea what cables are required for electric guitar. I ordered it from OKorder yesterday and couldn't find any details about what it comes with.
The diagram is the important part, it just explains where the cable goes. Good luck! :)
Q:i need a power cable for a digitech rp 10 guitar effects processor. my teacher gave it to me and it doesnt have a power cord. if anyone has one please let me know. ill pay good money. but i wont pay an outrageous amount.
They have a wanted section!
Q:its a rca home theater system and i need a power cable as my last one broke is there somewere were i can buy one
I'd recommend going back to the place where you got the TV and see if they can sell you an exact replacement. It might not be the cheapest option, but at least you know you're getting the right cable. Especially if the TV is under warranty still. If you use a third party cable, they could try and snake out of honoring the warranty then if something goes wrong. Otherwise contact the manufacturer and see if you can buy directly from them. Again for the purposes of honoring the warranty and well just that is safer going with an exact replacement. I would guess this might cost a bit more, but it could be your only option. Lastly, I guess you could try places online like OKorder, newegg, monoprice or such. They might be able to sell an equivalent replacement for you. Just make sure you're really certain what the cable is that you're replacing.
Q:are there power cables or batteries? Thanks
I bought the Rocketfish wireless rear speaker kit at BB for $99.99 and I love it. The unit plugs into the back wall behind my couch and you run the wires from it, not the reciever. I'm sure having it wired is the best way, but I have no complaints about my set up. It sounds great.
Q:My 4 gauge power cable is hooked up to the battery's positive terminal and the other end to my amplifier's terminal. Is it safe to accidentally touch the ring terminal (end) of this power cable? I won't feel any electrical shock or anything will I?
Well it's DC powerdirect currentso it cant hurt a person, however if it grounds out on something in or on the car it can injure you with the sparks or heat produced by welding its self to whatever the object is that grounded it.
Q:What fuse should I use to run my power cable to the amp?
I had a similar problem a few years ago and simply couldn't make sense of it. I traced the power wire back testing it every couple feet and eventually got to the AGU fuse holder. I had ~14v on the battery side and very little voltage on the amp side. It LOOKED fine, and the fuse was fine, but something weird going on in the fuse holder itself simply wasn't making a good connection. I replaced it and was back up and running. I'm not going to say that's definitely your problem, but it's worth a check,
Q:Hey guys I have a compaq sr5550f desktop the power light under the cable is flicking green but the computer will not turn on or off yesterday it was fine but unable to connect to the monitor I have saying no signal? whats up with it it was fine two days ago I unplugged all cables and let it rest and still the same result even if i unplug all the cables it still flickers green the dies off then if i plug it back it does it again help?
Does the fan spin (at the back, near where you plug in the power cable) at all? If not, you probably have a failed power supply that needs replacing.
Q:im looking to put a switch into the power cable for my amp so that it i can turn it on and off. what is the best way to do this? cheers
You can put a main power cut off to your amp. all you have to do is go to a truck stop and get a big power cut off switch and put it somewhere along the power cable. or you can just put a toogle o the blue wire.
Q:And will it damage the PS2 it if I use it?
Google the voltage the PS2 used, and if the PS3's power cable voltage is the same as the PS2's power cable then it's all good. Hope that helps.
