Q:Growing magic mushrooms?
Q:What is vermiculite used for?
the expansion of vermiculite on the roof, you can achieve a good temperature insulation effect, so that the house warm in winter and cool in summer. A partition plate of high-rise building with vermiculite brick masonry, with sound insulation, fireproof and heat preservation effect, and can reduce the floor load.
Essentially vermiculite is used in the horticultural industry because it provides aeration and drainage, it can retain and hold substantial amounts of water and later release it as needed, it is sterile and free from diseases, it has a fairly neutral pH, and it is readily available, non-toxic, safe to use, and relatively inexpensive. Nevertheless, for decades Vermiculite (and perlite) have been used by professionals, dedicated amateurs and gardeners.
Q:Can vermiculite fertilize any seed?
I prefer to use Perlite, but vermiculite works as well. You can also order a new product called, Hatchrite that is supposed to be damp and ready to go.....but I haven't used it personally. Whichever medium you choose, make sure it is damp enough to clump together when squeezed tightly in your hand, but not wet enough so that water will drip out when squeezed. At one time, they had issues with asbestos-not glass dust-in vermiculite, but that is no longer a problem. Both vermiculite and Perlite are commonly available WITHOUT additives, all you have to do is look. Check with ANY reputable breeder, and they will tell you the same. I have used Perlite since I began raising reptiles, and it has worked wonderfully.
Q:Vermiculite is falling from my ceiling after some ceiling tiles fell. How do I remove it safely?
vermiculite will give you some air pocket in the soil for air exchange and the peat will hold the water to keep the plants from drying out so fast. but once the peat drys out it is a little hard to get it to be wet again. to get it moist again you will have to soak the peat for a day in some water and this also depends on the size of the pot you are planting them in. dont use terriacota pots that really dry out plants it nice but unless you seall the out side it will dry out the plants and peat quickly. keep in mind how long it may take for t he redwoods to spout also. you need to go the a web site for trees and look up redwoods and see how long it take to germiate the seeds. Oh ya you can mix the to medium.
Q:Is vermiculite an organic or mineral matter?
best off using vermiculite or super hatch or something that will absorb and hold moisture better as you don't want to dry your eggs up nor do you want to have to be opening the container too much which you would have to do using sand because you'd be adding water regularly. M.Y.
Q:what is the temperature and humidity for bearded Dragon eggs?
Q:I need to repot my Cactus..miracle grow or succulent soil?
Vermiculite can stick to the beardie as she lays her eggs and has been known to cause eye problems to lizards who have used it to lay their eggs in. It's a great incubating medium, though. But I'd recommend using EcoEarth/Bed-a-Beast for her to lay the eggs in. You can then move the eggs to the incubator with vermiculite (no additives like the other answerer said) or perlite (which I find that I have better success with when it comes to gecko eggs...again, no additives). Be sure to keep the eggs in the same position as they were laid.
Q:what is vermin culture and vermi compost?
A dry soil with lots of trapped air spaces. Dry vermiculite would be good.
Q:Asphalt expansion vermiculite process and material requirements
Asphalt expanded vermiculite products are made of expanded vermiculite and hot asphalt by mixing, pouring, molding and pressing.
