Q:How much does 000 square feet of solar panels cost?
My Father-in-Law had around 300sqft of solar panels installed for the equivalent of around £3000 or $5000. These were just the cheap and relatively inefficient black plastic tubes that were installed on his roof. This was in South Africa where the labour rates are quite cheap. The system works okay and heats a 40ft x 20ft outdoor pool to over 30C in the height of summer. Rather than a pool heater, I think it might be good to look at an air source heat pump to help heat the water in Autumn/Winter when you don't get enough sun to heat the pool. These will be expensive (over $5000), but they will use less than 30% of the electricity of a standard electric water heater. Just the solar panels could cost you $5-20K including fitting.

Q:can I easily build my own solar panels for my home?
Sure you can build your own solar panels, people do it all the time, especially with the efficiency of PV technology accelerating. How much you spend on a system depends on how much work you are willing to do for yourself, and how much and how efficiently you consume power. You can go all the way from high-end prefab installs that will run about $50 grand to fill the energy needs for an average 3/2 suburban home. You can buy kits and install them yourself, that cuts your price down quite a lot. You can purchase the components and put together a system yourself really cheaply. You can save even more money if you buy stuff used. You could actually build solar photovoltaic panels yourself, but it is a serious pain in the behind, you will need to use copper sheets and some highschool chemistry and do a lot of experimenting, and even if you do it right you definitly won't be able to replicate the power output available in manufactured silicone photovoltaic cells. So I say don't even bother. To get an idea of what a PV system for your local area might put out, use the PV-WATTS calculator at the government Renewable Resource Data Center. To learn how to build home solar energy systems, there's a lot of good free information online.

There are different solar panels for different uses For a domestic home it all depends on how much electricity you are going to use per month or per year For a normal use home (2 adults, 2 children) I presume one need to install a panels that would produce about4 to 5000 Kilo wats of energy per year Based on the type and the out put of the panels the suppler and the person who is advising you will guide you how many panels you will be requiring to install Take a professional help They are better informed and also knowledgeable

anythign can be scratched/ruined/altered if not tended to properly.... remove the first biggest layer of snow and leave a lil under to try to see first if it melts away on its own (dpeendin what season of course) if not than get some luke warm water and soak the snow.... slosh it off with a rubber shovel or mop.broom whatever wont damage ur panels. anythign you take care of will last longer and take care of you.... and solar is expensive to put in and can be expensive to maintain . depends where you have most sun and depends how many resources you use, if you leave the tv on absent mindely all night and take 50 min showers or blast the heat with jsut on epathetic lil donwpour of rain instead of just BUNDLING UP like a alot of lazy *** ameicans and.or rich careless bastards of course youa re goign to be paying up and out of your asshhhhh-hooooo and nooooo there are some different materials solar panels are made of, there is a main base/core they use but im sure there are AT MOST two...the rest is either glass or plastic! depends for what you want and how many , includign size.... good luck!!!! excuse my typos
