MAINTENANCE

The modules are designed for long life require very little maintenance. If the angle of the PV module is 5degrees or more, normal rainfall is sufficient to keep the module glass surface clean under most weather conditions. If dirt build-up become excessive, clean the glass surface only with a soft cloth using water. If cleaning the back of the module is required, take utmost care not to damage the back side materials. In order to ensure the operation of the system, please check the connection of wiring and the state of the jacket of wires every now and then.

Q:How can I start working as a solar panel installer/technician without years of education?
The best suggestion I can give is to call solar installation companies in your area, and ask for their recommendation as to what to do. They may recommend a technical college with an appropriate program. With unemployment rising, new jobs in solar will likely be scarce for a while. You might also inquire at roofing companies. If you apply at a solar company, and can demonstrate that you already have roofing experience, that will be a plus.
Q:I am looking to buy a solar panel. What does it mean when in the title it says 200 watts, or 50 watts?

Q:The Physics club in our school is trying to convince the Board of Ed to install solar panels in our school, and i was just wondering if anyone with some experience or real expertise in solar energy. I need some points about their usefulness some real pros and cons on maintenance, etc. Anything will help. Personally i would be perfectly for the idea, but i heard that the overall cost of installing them is much higher than the cost of the energy saved and government subsidies, but ive only heard about this.
You have to approach it as an investment. Ignoring the cost of an inverter for net metering, if we consider a 500 W panel installed for $0 a watt which is $5,000 and consider an average of 8 hours of usable sunlight per day, and at a rate of $0.0 per kWh (schools probably get $0.03 per kWh) then the panel would be saving $2.7 per month in electricity. Considering that the panel has an expected lifespan of 20 years, that would give you an internal rate of return such that the monthly rate satisfies the equation: $5,000 = $2.7 * ( ( - / R^24 ) / ( - / R ) - ) By binary method we get R = 0.99588342. Taking this to the 2th power to annualize it we get Ra = 0.9570 which means that we are getting an annual return of -4.83% per annum so investing in the solar panel is the same as making an investment at an interest rate of -4.83% per year. True interest rates are low and you only get about .3% per annum by putting money in a CD but that still beats investing in solar panels which gives you a negative return on your money. Solar panels need to get a lot better before they are a good investment.
Q:My plans are building several solar panels and have a battery bank. I want to be able to power the refriderator and freezer and occationaly an electric grill. How would This work exactly and what would the best way to hook this up to make it work? I want to be able to convert DC to AC. How many batterys would I need to make this work. I know when Civil unrest happens I want to be prepared. How would Wind Power work If I can get the equipment I need?

Q:By best I mean safest places. If I were to install them on my roof am I risking due to damage from weathering? Such as rain or snow. I don't get very high winds around here, nor any natural disasters such as hurricanes or tornadoes. Does anyone have solar panels that have been durable for a long time? Is it worth the investment?
Probably not worth it. Sure, it is a great idea, but it will take decades to get your money back in energy savings. Today's panels are fine for a roof. However, I'd worry a little about the interface (where leaks could occur) especially in a retrofit. They, of course, will need to face south.
Q:How much roof space is needed for solar panels?
The amount of roof space needed for solar panels depends on several factors, such as the size and efficiency of the panels, the energy needs of the household or building, and the available sunlight in the area. Generally, it is recommended to have around 100 to 400 square feet of unshaded roof space per kilowatt of installed solar panels. It is best to consult with a solar professional to determine the exact roof space requirements for your specific situation.
Q:wondering if i should get them?? not sure if its worth leasing? also anyone know anything about solar city?
Solar panels can be worth it but it is more complex issue than that. It will always be more efficient to add insulation, change to high efficiency lights, more efficient appliances, etc, first to try and save energy. However, if you have done all of that and you have a south facing area whee they could be mounted and you live in an area with a decent amount of sun, then they could pay off. I have no experience myself with Solar City, but I know from word of mouth they are good. I can recommend from first hand experience REC Solar. I have 20 of their panels on my south facing roof. They have a leasing deal or a deal where you buy the system outright (which is what I did) but for less than you might think. I'd be glad to help you if you had any other questions.
Q:What is the average cost of solar panel installation?
The average cost of solar panel installation can vary depending on various factors such as the size of the system, location, type of panels, and any additional equipment or services required. However, as of 2021, the average cost in the United States ranges from $15,000 to $25,000. It is important to note that there may be additional incentives, tax credits, and financing options available that can help reduce the overall cost.
Q:Im doing a science project and I need to know what gases or liquids a solar panel can make that is not friendly to the environment. Please name all the gases and liquids and explain how they damage the environment. It would be most likely that you will get best answer if you find all the bad things about solar energy and explain why they are bad and how they affect nature. that would be helpful to. Thank you
i think that there should not be gases produced from solar panel, that we use.
Q:Can solar panels be used in areas with high levels of seismic vibrations?
Yes, solar panels can be used in areas with high levels of seismic vibrations. However, it is crucial to ensure that the solar panel installations are engineered and constructed to withstand the potential impact of seismic activity. Proper structural design, adequate mounting systems, and appropriate anchoring techniques can help mitigate the risks associated with earthquakes or other seismic events. Additionally, regular inspections and maintenance can help identify and address any damages caused by seismic vibrations to ensure the continued functionality of the solar panels.
