Q:When you make 1000 cranes, do you have to wish on the spot? Or can you save it until you think of something?
wait, you folded 1999 paper cranes and you still didn't have enough time to come up with a wish? I recommend that you wish to become more decisive...
Q:Whats with all these crane accidents in NYC?
It's not really the construction workers fault. It's the city inspectors!! They take short cuts, sign off on inspections that never happened, all because of greed! Then they can say they inspected them and go home early. Unfortunately it's the innocent residents of these buildings and the construction workers that die while they are at home all snug in their beds!!! That first crane accident should have taught them all a lesson, but evidently it did not. I think whoever was in charge of inspecting that crane should be arrested for manslaughter. The first guy got in trouble, I'm not sure to what extent but it obviously didn't make an impression on the rest of those lazy a**holes!
Q:what is the function of load indicator on a crane?
Two things, The maximum lift and the maximum extension of the boom. The maximum lift is based on weight and structural considerations and the maximum extension of the boom prevents the crane from turning over. The weights on the back of the crane is prevent the crane from turning over. TexMav
Q:In the poem "The Wayfarer”, what is Crane's ironic comment on the pursuit of truth?
I am a big fun of Rayban as well. I always buy from this site...
Q:How does the Red Badge of Courage relate to Stephen Cranes Life?
In March 1893, while spending hours lounging in his friend Corwin Knapp Linson's studio while having his portrait painted, Crane became fascinated with old Civil War issues of the Century published between 1884 and 1887. Largely devoted to famous battles and military leaders, the writing was dry and lifeless and Crane, frustrated, said to Linson, I wonder that some of those fellows don't tell how they felt in those scraps. They spout enough of what they did, but they're as emotionless as rocks. Crane returned to these magazines during subsequent visits to Linson's studio and eventually the idea of writing a war novel overtook him. He would later state that he had been unconsciously working the detail of the story out through most of his boyhood and had imagined war stories ever since he was out of knickerbockers. This novel, which he believed would make him famous, would ultimately become The Red Badge of Courage. From the beginning, Crane wished to show what it felt like to be in a war by writing a psychological portrayal of fear. Conceiving his story from the point of view of a young private who is at first filled with boyish dreams of the glory of war and then quickly becomes disillusioned by war's reality, Crane borrowed the private's surname, Fleming, from his sister-in-law's maiden name. Crane would later tell Hamlin Garland that the first words and paragraphs came to him with every word in place, every comma, every period fixed.
Q:calculating psf in regaurdto crawler cranes?
Not sure what you are asking exactly... Are you saying that you have a crane with a capacity of 100 tons and you want to know the pressure on the soil where the crane is positioned? In this case, you take the capacity (in pounds) plus the weight of the crane (in pounds) then divide their sum by the area of the tracks on the crane (in square feet). This will result in pounds per square foot or psf as you wrote above. These are example estimates, they may not be anywhere near the correct answer, this is simply how to do the calculation. Assumed Capacity 100 ton = 200,000 lbs. Assumed Weight 105 ton = 210,000 lbs. Assumed Area of Track = 200 square feet Note: 1 U.S. ton = 2,000 pounds = 2,000 lbs. 410,000 lbs / 200 square feet = 2,050 psf There's a start, now you just need to find out how much it actually weighs and how long and wide the tracks are to get the area of the track on the ground. I hope that answers the question you were asking.
Q:What kind of energy/effort is used to power a crane?
A crane is a pulley and using simple machines like wedges, screws, pulleys etc. takes less work.
Q:Do some schools of hung gar only teach (or focus on) the tiger crane form?
No. Hung Ga is a curriculum. There are some minor differences between them and some don't teach certain forms, but they usually have the core system in common.
Q:What kind of bodies are tower cranes made of?
Tower crane is composed of three parts: working mechanism, metal structure and power unit, and control system. The composition and function of the three parts are outlined below.
Q:Do cranes, the bird, have any significance in Egyptian or Chinese mythology?
A crane is considered auspicious in China. It is one of the symbols of longevity and is often represented with other symbols of long life, such as pine, bamboo, and the tortoise. Also, traditional Chinese 'heavenly cranes' (tian-he) or 'blessed cranes' (xian-he) were messengers of wisdom. Legendary Taoist sages were transported between heavenly worlds on the backs of cranes.
