Q:help with carpet stains!?
Q:Why does my carpet now stink after shampooing it just for stain removal?
I agree it probably is the dampness of the carpet and carpet pad. I use a professional cleaning service called chem-dry. They don't saturate the carpet so now mildew musty smell. I would call a professional or shampoo again with hot water and simple green. Continue sucking the water out until you are sure there is very little left.
Q:Baby safe carpet flea killer!?
I would suggest first, doing what you are doing. I am not sure if regular shampoo works as well, but dish washing liquid does kill fleas. Using a metal flea comb on the head, face and ears will get the runaways. If you did not do the head right away, you might repeat the bath. Then, after the first bath, wait about 7 to 10 days and repeat the process, which gets any newly-hatched fleas. Make sure that you leave the dish soap bubbles on the kitten until the fleas are not moving. If you repeat this bath and metal flea combing and don't see anymore fleas, you are probably in the clear. If you just go the kitten within about one week, or so you might be O.K. I would wait to use chemicals and especially around a baby. If there aren't fleas jumping onto your kitten right now, there may not be any in the carpeting. Vacuum each day. See how it goes by the next week or 10 days. You can also comb with metal flea comb on a daily basis, if you are so, inclined. Dip any live fleas on the comb, into a cup of water with dish soap in it.
Q:Need help with carpet bubbles.?
Hi, former floor covering business owner here-yes you can purchase carpet glue and a syringe from Home Depot, Lowes, possibly Menards. If you are unable to find it there ask a local carpet store if they would sell you some. Tell them it is in a commercial area and is a safety hazard. They generally do not want to do the carpet repair for you and consider the job too small, and if they did they would charge a large labor fee. It could be that the surface (debris left on floor)the glue was originally placed on was not prepared properly or the environmental conditions(too cold, too hot) were not favorable. Also, perhaps the glue or carpet was defective. We were surprised to receive so many defective products and carpet and constantly found that we would have to consult our area representative to rectify customer complaints. Hope this helps............
Q:Ballpark estimate for imported rugs?
The price should be around $40/square foot for a standard hand-knotted wool rug. If you're looking at a kilim (looks like a very thick tapestry) those will be much cheaper, and if you're looking at a silk rug, or silk blend rug, those will be about double the cost of wool, or maybe more.
Q:Can a clawed cat be trained not to tear up the rugs and furniture?
I got 2 cats. And they both know how to use da scathing post.all u got 2 do is show it 2 them. After a while they'll know not 2 scracth the rugs but the scratching post.
Q:What horse rug should I use?
There and also maybe on OKorder. I had a TB who had the same issue. Other things that help are: coating them with flyspray every chance you get AND using those Fly Predators things... they really work but I think the season is over for them.
Q:Can you shampoo a carpet if there are hardwood floors beneath?
Shampoo The Carpet
Q:How do I dry my carpet?
Eep! First, get a shop vac to pull up as much water as you can. Then turn fans onto it: At a place that I used to work, that's what the guys would do after they shampooed the carpet. Good luck!
Q:How do I get red ink out of white rug?
If done immediately , it is sure to work, but it might work now. Get a steam cleaner and carpet shampoo. Steam clean and scrub the carpet with carpet shampoo and warm water. When finished, cover up with towel and stomp on the towel to dry.
