Operations Conditions
1. The medium temperature should not be over 60oC, the density 1200Kg/m3, and the pH value within 5-9.
2. During running, the pump must not be lower than the permitted lowest liquid level.
3. Rated voltage 380 V, rated frequency 50 Hz. The motor can run successfully, only under the condition the deviations of both rated voltage and frequency are not over ± 5%.
4. The maximum diameter of the solid grain going through the pump has not to be larger than 50% of that of the pump outlet.

- A very simple and old design for a water pump is called the ball-chain or bucket-chain pump. A google search should show you what they are. Building one should be fairly straightforward and simple.
- Q:I have just replaced the timing belts on my 94 Civic Si and my 00 Elantra GLS. Both were done at different shops, but i got the same hounding to replace the water pump when doing the belt. My Elantra has 66k and my Civic 85k and i know how important the timing belt is-especially with a negative clearance engine like the VTEC. previously, i've never been told to replace the waterpump with the timing belt til now. is this just a ruse to extort more money out of me, or is there some validity in what the guy behind the counter is saying??
- In these vehicles, the water pumps are located behind the timing belt. Remember that the MOST EXPENSIVE item on the timing belt replacement is the labor to do so. This being said, the shop is recommending the replace of the water pump you are already footing the bill for the LABOR to replace the belt and you want have that cost if/when the water pump goes out. Here's and example, let's say the timing belt replacement on your car came to a total of $250. The belt itself only cost $15 to $20, leaving the rest of the cost in associated gaskets and labor. If you don't replace the water pump and it fails, this time your cost will $300 with the difference in price being ONLY the difference in cost for the water pump and timing belt. It's not an absolute necessity to replace the WP when doing the TB, it is just a good idea! If your keeping the cars... change the WP... if not.. just the TB and sell it! - Hi You need to give a little more information type of water heater est or Central heating boiler , you cant just fit a circulating pump on to a hot water circuit first it would have to be gunmetal or stainless steel construction and have a return circuit and a proper control system, if you find that you do have a water heater don't fit a pump. this work should ideally be carried out by an qualified heating engineer if possible. - Q:My 2000 Chevy Cavalier (2.4L) has been overheating pretty majorly (within a 10 minute drive!) when it's been super cold out, about 5F. I took it to the shop and they told me it was my water pump. Right after getting out of the shop, the problem went away for an entire week and the car's temperature has been at exactly what it's been for years - never past 195. It seems to be back now, though not as severe. It's about 20F now.Could the weather have to do with this??Why would the problem go away like that?I'm female and definitely do not seem educated walking into a shop so they can really tell me anything and I'll buy it. I just wanna see if the problem going away like that makes any sense, or if I should just wait out long trips until it warms up outside.It doesn't look like I'm losing coolant, though my low coolant light goes in and out.I have no idea. - There is the possibility that the water pump cause a wake spot in the system to develop a small leak. The level at the reservoir might not drop but the coolant level in the radiator will drop. Just go back to them and tell them exactly what you said here, and ask to check your coolant level. Outside temperature won't effect it because the car runs at almost 200F
- Q:the pump is pumping hot wtaer from the hot water tank around the domestic hot water system, i.e to taps and shower.
- These pumps can have their own bearing or they may rely on the bearings in the motor. Most of these are anti-friction bearings that have a limited life. Also if the pump runs dry it can over heat and seize.
- Q:when i drove my truck after about 15 minutes i was parked and let my truck idle afetr about a minute of idling my truck stalled and when i turned it back of it was squeeking and made some noises for about ten seconds and then stopped. I noticed that the pully on my fan coming from the water pump was wobbling. my tempuratue was still normal what could cause this i am suspecting taht the bearings in my water pump went?
- you are likely right, usually the pump will leak a bit of water by this point, i did mine in my van and can be difficult cause you must seperate the fan. do not let this problem continue cause u will be broke down. replace the thermostat, bypass hose and check clutch and all hoses that are getting weak, and if possible do a power flush of the system..
- Q:I live in a condo building -- 3 floors, 7 units. In our storage units (right below my unit) is a water pump that was hooked up with the intent of helping the water flow to the 3rd floor. Everytime the pump goes off, it rattles, then makes a loud noise when it kicks off. The developers created a drywall box that houses the pump, which is surrounded by isolation, but it doesn't seem like it helps the noise. The pump also rattles the pipes that connect directly to the pump.My question is -- is this rattling normal for a standard water pump? If so, is there anything I can do to help cut down on the noise? If this is rattling is not normal of the standard water pump, what would it cost to replace it with something decent?
- It sounds like the pump is not large enough for the job. I had a well like that and the dummy who replaced the pump put in a very small one. Even though it was in the ground it was noisy. I'll bet people on the 3rd floor have water pressure issues. Why don't you talk to them and get more info on this. I am assuming you are all under some type of association so you can present all of your info at a meeting.
