Calcium Silicon Powder

1. Description:

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.

Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.

Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:

(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.

(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.

(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.

(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

Q:Is it possible to react a metal with hydrogen? What would this be called ( for example would cu and h react to form copper hydryde?). I have observed in electolysis cells that the hydrogen metal (if it is not a good anode) turns black. Is this the chlorine frome the salt changing the andode? The other connection turns red from rust. Would this be possible, because hydrogen requires one electron to fulfill its energy level (2) and metals (such as copper) are looking to lose electrons? If not, why?
Well, we happen to know that the metal in Drano is aluminum. To identify the metal, I would isolate the pieces of metal and measure the density. Most people think that the aluminum reacts with the NaOH. Actually the NaOH dissolves the oxide coating that covers the aluminum metal. Once the Al2O3 is dissolved, the aluminum metal reacts with the water to make aluminum hydroxide and hydrogen gas. Al2O3S) + 6NaOH --> 6Na+ + 2AlO3- This exposes aluminum metal which reacts with water: 2Al + 6HOH --> 2Al(OH)3(s) + 3H2(g)
Q:I have some thin sheet 'tin' metal I believe I bought from home depot. I'm trying to make some sheet metal panels with a patina on it. Does anyone know what the sheet metal at HD is made out of and can you oxidize or put a patina on it? If not, is there a certain type of sheet metal I can buy that would work for a decorative patina?
Generally Black Metal fans are open to experimentation (but that doesn't stop them from being elitists) I've seen some Black Metal fans complain about bands mixing Black Metal with punk, techno, etc. They say DSBM, Blackgaze is gay. I'm not sure Nu Metal fans like change/experimentation. When it comes to elitism, Black Metal fans are the worst. On the other hand, Nu Metal fans are constantly being bullied by other metalheads. They don't even get a chance to be an elitist. Even some of the most open-minded black metal fans will treat you differently because of some bands you listen to. Never mention you listen to Dimmu Borgir to BM elitists. I repeat 'never' unless you want death threats! I crave for experimentation in music. I really don't get why some people want to listen to same old sound.
Q:I can't decide which is betterFavourite Black metal band - SatyriconFavourite Death metal band - Bloodbath
No. I havent looked at the second link... but Ektomorph is Groove Metal. I have also seen them listed as Tribal Metal. I haven't heard a lot of their stuff... but I actually do like what I have heard, Thanks for reminding me of them... now that I actually have the internet.. I'll look up some more of their stuff. As for NuMetal..
Q:Why are group 2 metals harder and why do they have higher melting points than group 1 metals?
They're Nu-Metal. A lot of metal heads don't really like Nu-metal. Including me. Lol. Nu-Metal will always be looked as poser metal to extreme metal heads.
Q:all music sux except for metal!
Metals do not contain steel. Steel is an alloy of purified iron and carbon, and sometimes with other metals, such as nickel, chromium, or molybdenum to make it stainless or to change its hardness or other properties. It's like asking what cereals contain Cheerios. It doesn't really make sense. Other metal alloys contain iron, which is an element and the main ingredient of steel. Maybe you should be asking which metal alloys contain iron? That's more like asking which cereals contain whole grain oats. Now that's a question that can be answered by reading the ingredients labels on your standard boxes of metal alloys :-)
Q:please give a note on metal age.
Most sheet metal is coated with galvanizing. Not fun to weld on. Most steel for welding use is just carbon steel.
Q:i love metal a lot! I listen to it ALL the time can you give me some songs please :)thanks #92;m/ haha ;)
NWOBHM: Iron Maiden Thrash Metal: Slayer Death Metal: Death Speed Metal: Agent Steel Groove Metal: Pantera Doom Metal: Candlemass Black Metal: Bathory
Q:Not fake metal.
Sure it is. People always tend to think they're very unique for liking metal, but it's simply not true.
Q:If metal gear solid hd digital collection will be released in 6 months when will metal gear solid rising be released
The easiest category for Cradle of Filth would be black metal. The problem is that Cradle are really BAD black metal! If you would like to hear what decent black metal sounds like try the following albums: Amorphis - Tales From 1000 Lakes Emperor - In The Nightside Eclipse Megiddo - The Devil and the Whore Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger Dawn - Slaughtersun Immortal - Pure Holocaust Dub Buk - Rus Ponad Vse Enslaved - Frost
Q:Name the best metal songs in these genres Thrash metalSpeed metalHeavy metalPower metalAlternative metalNu metal
